I wouldn’t class myself as a fan, but Smalltown Boy is an epic song, and Age Of Consent was a superb album.

And 61 is way too young.

RIP.

Not exactly my genre, but even so I respect what they did and stood for. RIP.
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Yeah 61 is no age.

Random connection but I rented a villa In Maspalomas via booking.com and it turns out it was owned by a music exec who was heavily in the careers of a lot of the Gay sceen in the 80’s including Bronski Beat. There was a library with tonnes of music paraphernalia including a gold disc of Small Town Boy

That was a voyage of discovery. I'd heard of Bronski Beat - obviously, they often pop up on t' radio - but didn't know Bronski applied to a person or any of their back story(s). Thought provoking stuff. The '80s are an odd mix of being far enough back to sound like distant history while also seeming too recent for a lot the attitudes to have still existed then. R.i.p.
