New new new new Top Gear
Re: New new new new Top Gear
A friend of mine is half Icelandic and we had an amazing trip there with her about 16-17 years ago
We barely scratched the surface (Iceland is really big, and there's nothing in the middle, so to travel much you have to go around the edge)
The scenery is like nothing else on earth and the weather is madness, there's that age old expression that if you don't like the weather, wait give minutes - the only constant is the wind which never seems to stop
The air their is incredibly, noticeably clean - and photos just look amazing
Yes, it's eye-wateringly expensive, but there's no way around that. It's still well worth it though (and you can always buy a couple of bottles at the airport on your way out if you're going to want a drink while you're there)

Re: New new new new Top Gear
Iceland was the one that got away on my year off travelling.
When I caught the ferry from Hirtshals in Denmark to Norway, the same port can be used to go to Iceland. Though that ferry is rather expensive too!
Have had thoughts of taking a motorbike there and exploring the F roads as per the vid below, though having been challenged by the weather in the outer hebredes and Ireland on my motorbike this year, I think my next few motorbike trips will be to warmer climes!

Hopefully they'll now do far more features where they both take part in races worldwide
Re: New new new new Top Gear
Was the air con not working in the Victor? Paddy looked quite sweaty.
Re: New new new new Top Gear
Surprised they cut that section.
Re: New new new new Top Gear
I'd take the Lada from those three.
Re: New new new new Top Gear
I saw that last night. I’d already watched stuff from the event on 4 or 5 other channels so I didn’t watch it. Didn’t realise that Chris Harris was there though.
An absolute unit

I still haven't watched half the last series.

I was about to say the same @Simon, I think I missed the last one or two episodes and then forgot we were in to a new series.
Cheers,

I put this on but it didn’t draw me in…. Very much biased towards tainment as opposed to info this week. I expect all the NCG’s loved it.
I only kept it on as the opening reel included clips of the full season, including several shots of CH looking rather happy sliding an Emira about. Nothing in this show though.

Yep, my wife and son lapped it up and we watched it live and together which never happens. I thought it was a bit light on cars but still great telly.
