No F1 thread?

5 place grid drop for Verstappen. 3 place for Bottas.

Hamilton is going to walk it then, from what the pundits were saying, there are no great overtaking places so Lewis will drive away leaving Max and Bottas to push for podium.
Re: No F1 thread?
I won’t mind if it’s a boring race which Hamilton just storms off to easily win, after all the bollocks recently I really don’t want Red Bull to win the championship and I would have to turn the TV off each time Horner appears.

Is the winners trophy a replica of the World Cup one? Or are they just showing off?

Helmut talking to Gasly, then minutes later we just see Gasly praying whilst marking the cross on his body.
He’s been ordered to Kamikaze for a seat in the Red Bull next year. I imagine.

Well if it ain’t lap one crash a safety car mid race once max is in P2 would be very convenient.
The Alpha Tauris have been quite good at that recently

Re: No F1 thread?
Russell should have been in that seat 10 races ago. If Lewis loses the championship then some part of that will be down to that decision.
Re: No F1 thread?
I just said a lap ago that it’s a bit silly how many laps Bottas has been on those tyres…

Re: No F1 thread?
Shame. Seems it should have been avoidable, given the guidance from the manufacturer.

Horner summonsed to the stewards for presumably saying that yesterdays yellow flag was due to a “rogue marshal”

Don’t remember enjoying a season as much as I am this one. Last year the restart after covid was good, mainly because we didn’t have a lot to on weekend, but this season has been on another level so far. Just hoping that it is decided without crashes or DNFs.
Re: No F1 thread?
It was a bit of a weird one for me, they had the best position they were going to get for Bottas to pit (think he would have landed just behind Perez and another by a second or two with fresher tyres). Then they just left him out for a few laps where Perez was just increasing the gap and I really couldn't see why they weren't pitting.
I'm sure with all the Mercedes might they know better than me, but it looked obvious without even thinking that they might be close to a puncture.

Re: No F1 thread?
I don’t quite get what Horner was on about on the pre race c4 stuff.
Marshals are trained to stick a flag out as soon as there’s an incident, they can’t see a crash then wait for the race director to decide whether it needs a flag then the marshals be allowed to put it out by which time the whole pack could have passed the incident.
Surely the light boards / in car warnings are an extra backup to confirm the flags?
Cheers, Harry
