Just posted up an analysis of Aston Martin's Q3 2021 results:

Underneath all the spin, it's not a pretty story. Moers' Q3 2021 looks almost identical to Palmer's Q3 2019.

Re: Aston Martin’s Q3 2021 Results
Some more sad but hardly surprising numbers from Gaydon.
Interesting snippet that I don't understand the consequences of is if the share price falls below that agreed with Merc, does that allow them access to more of AML cheaply (should they want it) or some other penalty?
Hard to see any other long term result than AML changes hands again and everyone with current stock gets stiffed, but I am not an expert
I could well imagine that the 40% under utilised factory out in the sticks becomes their prime manufacturing location and the Gaydon site is turned into more housing. R&D is already down the road in Wellesbourne so they could easily rent another shed there to relocate all the other office staff (now far diminissed with WFH) and save themselves a bundle.
To sum the the "Works team" and Aston motorsport "Shonky" and a delightfully damning characterisation of the Stroll's as well

If the stock price falls below, Aston has to stump up the cash to cover the difference.RobYob wrote: Mon Nov 15, 2021 8:21 am

Whaaat ? In addition to giving Merc a free 20% stake, they have agreed to give them cash as well ?
A PLC underwriting its own share price sounds like a financial perpetual motion machine. Or a black hole.

Yes, AML guaranteed Mercedes a minimum price for the shares they were given. Its quite insane.....Sundayjumper wrote: Tue Nov 16, 2021 12:42 pm Whaaat ? In addition to giving Merc a free 20% stake, they have agreed to give them cash as well ?
