New Addition
Re: New Addition
V8, Approved!
Can you dial back the TC/ESP on these? The one I drive at MB world was quite intrusive and they wouldn't allow the electronics to be switched off, well claimed they couldn't do it, I guess it was down to policy rather than settings. It was quite a challenge to try to hustle with it all on.
They are quite a monster in a drag too, I'd bet it rivals the Lotus in the 60 sprint.

That's very nice indeed! One of the few Mercs I've always liked. Enjoy!!!

Isn't that always the case with Merc's ?? It's never "you're on your own" fully off even when you select Traction Control Off ???drcarlos wrote: Tue Oct 19, 2021 9:32 am Can you dial back the TC/ESP on these? Re: New Addition
Shame, but I doubt it's much of a concern for this use case. Having an Exige for fun would only show up deficiencies in this if you really pushed it. Go fast with a nice noise, in comfort.dinny_g wrote: Tue Oct 19, 2021 1:39 pmIsn't that always the case with Merc's ?? Lovely. The pre 19' infotainment put me off getting a lesser model.
Price wise, less offensive than I imagined.

Thanks chaps - will get an interior pic sorted when it’s light.
I’ve not braved TC fully off yet, but will report back when I’ve grown a pair to see if off really does mean off. Did try Race start which is a real giggle though.
The Exige does feels noticeably quicker still. That’s not to play down the Merc, but more to demonstrate how wild the Lotus feels in a straight line. 700kgs less and even more noise probably play their part too right enough!

Without a video?
Re: New Addition
Fucking great purchase. Premium plus pack is essential on any Merc.
Happy days and well done.

Re: New Addition
I passengeered one about a month ago; half throttle squirminess with the tc on meant it didn't get switched off there either
Re: New Addition
Not a great photo, but gives you an idea. The ambient lighting really lifts it at night.

IWC clock as well.

That's fucking fantastic and pretty much the perfect all-rounder.
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.
Re: New Addition
Would absolutely love one of these, lovely purchase.

As much as I like the 335d I do miss a big petrol!
