Today’s want
Re: Today’s want
Yeah definitely needs better wheels.
I’ve always wanted my own version of Pierce Brosnan’s suburban in Dante’s Peak, it’s my version of the Spectre Defender

Richard Porter’s was an unusual colour, sort of dark aubergine. He thought it had been intended for the Japanese market I think.Explosive Newt wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 10:16 pmI agree. Didn’t Richard Porter run one for a bit? The underlying DNA is good enough to suspect it would waft but also allow it to provide some limited underpowered enjoyment. And I must confess that piped leather is growing on me.
I still think the 75 looks great. Has to be a pre-Phoenix decontented one though because they removed many of the nicer detail touches to make it cheaper to build. This one fits that criterion.
Re: Today’s want
Unfortunately it's only the lesser 2.0 v6, not the 2.5, and also has the basic radio, no cruise etc.
Still a lovely thing to waft in and very comfortable and quiet.

I think I'd only be interested in a 75 if I found a V8 one. Like, it's not very good but it's interesting

Re: Today’s want
I dunno, based on Hubnuts experience with the 45 2.0 V6, it takes a fair bit of revs to get moving, so it might not be that quiet, especially not in the bigger 75!
Re: Today’s want
A rover 75 only really makes any sense if it's <£1k & 1 owner who is a fastidious grandad who has pampered it within an inch of its life.
Even then, it's a banger to run until it dies.

Re: Today’s want
Agree - I'd also want one in an interesting colour like Porter's. Can't be many around with such low mileage though.
And like Rich says, it should be cheap; but in the context of KGF's offerings, this one is, relatively
Re: Today’s want
Another ten years once most have rotted away in 'slightly more expensive to repair than the car is worth' ways, or have eaten their engines through poor maintenance, and a clean low mileage one might be interesting due to rarity, but now?
Nah, all cheap sheds.

Less waft but has a sunroof for you
Not entirely unappealing

Shame we never got Manual ones, or Activa ones.
Looks in a lot better condition paint wise than mine as well

High mileage 20yr old Ferrari for nearly £50k. What could possibly go wrong?
