I know the wheels are the right colour but the white makes them look shabby!

They came in white, and I nearly left them alone, but figured if I wanted to make them white again it never hurts to have extra paint on steel wheels!

The colour works better in person when the camera isn’t dealing with a shiny white box in the centre of the frame!

X-Trail in for a bit of warranty work, got a brand new polo as a courtesy. What an absolute pos. Hard suspension but no handling, hard seats, rattling trim, crap interior, no power (think the base spec 3 cyl no turbo), no boot. Don't these things cost 15k?

My Dad had a courtesy Polo last week when he took his T-Roc in. He really liked it, thinking of getting my Mum one!

Navara had its annual service & MOT but also needed pads all round and new front shocks and anti-roll links, so we ended up with a nearly-£900 bill.

Boxster remains unremarkable after all that work so has had some washer fluid and a wee bit of oil, that's it.

A particularly short woman just picked up the Fabia for its new rear shocks and MOT retest. The bucket seat is fixed for me at 6'3.
She reversed it and disappeared up the road ok so clearly she can reach the pedals and see enough.

A mate just dropped the Series 3 back off at my parent’s for me.
Fortunately they’re understanding about me needed to leave four cars there even though I moved out 23 years ago!

The idle is way too high since it went in to the body shop, so I need to take a look at that (I’m assuming it was fine when the mechanic set it up for the mot) and sort longer studs out for the new wheels.

New shocks on. Here we are, looks similar to on the adjustable ones so ride height must be standard (maybe up a little, due to being partially stripped out).

Took my car in to the dealers for a 'deep reset' of the tracker monitor system today (a 102 mile round trip at a time when petrol is hard to find). Initially they told me it would take 4 hours, which they revised to 7 hours yesterday. Left it with them to be contacted 3 hours later with the news that they actually need it for 24 hours, so it's now booked in again and we will return with two cars and the same the following day to collect it... At least it's under makers warranty or I'd be up for £150 an hour labour charges too!

Pottering along minding my own business today when my S2000 starts knocking it’s tits off. Something in the bottom end appears to have suddenly let go, sounds like big ends.

It’s only got 55k on it with a full history so it’s very odd.

Do you have Gaz on the front as well? Any idea of part numbers? I couldn't see anything on their site but I guess the rears could just be anything that physically fit. Happy mot

I can only think he was high as a kite at the time!

Glad to get rid of it. Liked the chunky steering wheel, everything else was terrible. I can quite believe the guy when he let slip they can make one for 4k. A/C regassed under warranty and working great, nice to be back in a proper car.

Yes, fronts look more like the ones on their website, with a bigger adjuster higher up the body.

Don’t know part numbers. They quoted me over £1000 for a full replacement system but only £140 for a new pair of the adjustable rear dampers.

The internet has told me that Lotus cars are Usually Serious Trouble and there's never been a single documented Honda VTEC engine failure, so I'm having a hard time believing this.
