There was one outside a paint shop a while back in Bourne which looked exactly like yours but in primer so I wondered.
Ready for the drive back ?
Dave!
They came in white, and I nearly left them alone, but figured if I wanted to make them white again it never hurts to have extra paint on steel wheels!Zonda_ wrote: Wed Sep 29, 2021 4:30 pm I know the wheels are the right colour but the white makes them look shabby!
Did she fiddle around in the footwell before leaving?JonMad wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 10:02 am A particularly short woman just picked up the Fabia for its new rear shocks and MOT retest. The bucket seat is fixed for me at 6'3.
She reversed it and disappeared up the road ok so clearly she can reach the pedals and see enough.
New shocks on. Here we are, looks similar to on the adjustable ones so ride height must be standard (maybe up a little, due to being partially stripped out). Old Gaz ones that I could get refurbed for £36 each or replaced for twice that. Hmm... Now MOT'd up.JonMad wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 10:02 am A particularly short woman just picked up the Fabia for its new rear shocks and MOT retest. The bucket seat is fixed for me at 6'3.

MOT news here - the 7-Series has a new one. Wifey is trying to suggest a one-in-one-out policy on cars so the 7 might be for the chop![]()

Yes, fronts look more like the ones on their website, with a bigger adjuster higher up the body.nuttinnew wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 8:21 pmJonMad wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 2:34 pm

Do you have Gaz on the front as well? Any idea of part numbers? I couldn't see anything on their site but I guess the rears could just be anything that physically fit. Happy mot![]()
Ah of course, coilovers, separate rear spring!JonMad wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 10:39 pmYes, fronts look more like the ones on their website, with a bigger adjuster higher up the body.nuttinnew wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 8:21 pmJonMad wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 2:34 pm

Don’t know part numbers. They quoted me over £1000 for a full replacement system but only £140 for a new pair of the adjustable rear dampers.

The internet has told me that Lotus cars are Usually Serious Trouble and there's never been a single documented Honda VTEC engine failure, so I'm having a hard time believing this.dan wrote: Fri Oct 01, 2021 7:55 pm Buy a Honda they said, they’re reliable they said.
Pottering along minding my own business today when my S2000 starts knocking it’s tits off. Something in the bottom end appears to have suddenly let go, sounds like big ends.
It’s only got 55k on it with a full history so it’s very odd.
