Died during practice for the Skerries 100. You wonder how much tragedy that family can take.

It seems so much worse after he went home from the TT because she was having problems and his head wasn't in it.

I know that they all know the risks, arguably that family more so than most, but fuckNotoriousREV wrote: Sun Jul 08, 2018 10:02 amIt seems so much worse after he went home from the TT because she was having problems and his head wasn't in it.

It’s been a particularly bad year for deaths in road racing. RIP James. I hope Ivan pulls through.

I wonder how long road racing can survive before it's banned in Northern Ireland.

More people watch Road Racing in Ireland than Soccer. I can't see it getting banned any time soon.Jimmy Choo wrote: Fri Jul 13, 2018 11:21 am I wonder how long road racing can survive before it's banned in Northern Ireland.

I suspect it has to do with the perception of risk given the perceived dangers of living in a country with some rather... passionately political groups. I still expect that there will be hand wringers wailing about thinking of the children.NotoriousREV wrote: Fri Jul 13, 2018 11:23 amMore people watch Road Racing in Ireland than Soccer. Perhaps. When I've watched the NW200, it's a fantastic spectacle so I completely understand the appeal.JLv3.0 wrote: Fri Jul 13, 2018 1:24 pm Or they could just really like motorbike racing.
