Ivan Linton is in critical condition too, same crash as James Cowton.

It’s been a particularly bad year for deaths in road racing. RIP James. I hope Ivan pulls through.

More people watch Road Racing in Ireland than Soccer. I can't see it getting banned any time soon.

I suspect it has to do with the perception of risk given the perceived dangers of living in a country with some rather... passionately political groups. I still expect that there will be hand wringers wailing about thinking of the children.

Perhaps. When I've watched the NW200, it's a fantastic spectacle so I completely understand the appeal.
