It does raise an interesting topic about actually being able to spend day to day. The new contactless limit of 100 quid surely makes buying things from your crypto wallet more of an option than before. Trouble being not many places accepting it, yet. Won't be long tho I guess.

why would places want to take crypto and why would you want to use it for day to day stuff? Prices are still in sterling and crypto is still basically an investment rather than actual currency.

They do and it will continue to grow. Why? There's a requirement for it.

There isn't a demand for it. We offered crypto payments on our store for while but uptake was incredibly low so we stopped bothering.

Answering this edit, it sounds like Worldline accept Bitcoin and 85k of merchants in Switzerland use worldline for their payment systems. Presumably those retailers get proper currency through to them.

I expect WL will quickly stop accepting it when the value is dropping.

What amounts to a puff piece for a merchant services company compared to experience from a company that ships worldwide and is on target to turn over $65mil this year. I don't think we'll see a rush of new retailers offering crypto payment

If a very forward thinking company like PayPal are still hesitant about actually using it as currency after 12 years, then it suggests that it's far from a rush!

Someone dumped 17mil ADA yesterday afternoon which caused a mini crash across the major coins late yesterday afternoon.

I withdrew all my (pocket money amount) coins (spread across BTC, ETH and ADA) just after it happened as I have only just got back to a break even point from just before a few months ago when I got hit by the last price tumble.

Mine dropped about 30% in total over the last few days. It’s not all bad news though as the coin burn from panic sellers or pump and dump types has given me a few hundred more.

If you try to delve deep into the whole thing though then it gets more and more confusing as you go.
