Analysis of Aston Martin's 1st Half 2021 Results

Post by SSO »

Just posted a new blog analyzing Aston Martin's 1st half 2021 Results:

https://karenable.com/aston-martins-1st ... 1-results/

wholesale numbers look ok, they are burning through massive amounts of cash, and the Valkyrie is quite the saga.

Comments?

Boy is that some depressing albeit interesting reading. The Michelin Showstopper award shenanigans is just sad.

Its actually pathetic and was completely unnecessary. Then again Aston excels at "own goals"

"It was interesting listening to Moers on the call, he came across as having all the enthusiasm of an inmate who had just been denied parole."

It sounds like he's been neutered, set up for the fall, and that things are terminal :(

Well I did have a person who is very well connected in the car world tell me that Mercedes does not want Moers back.

In an Andy Palmer way, or because he left in the first place? I imagine you can't elaborate.

Will Aston ultimately end up in the hands of Geely?

Geely is the other quite possible option.

That would be some weird reanimated FrankenPAG parallel dimension stuff. I assume Geely would be canny enough to only purchase AM once the debt was disposed off though.
