Analysis of Aston Martin's 1st Half 2021 Results
Just posted a new blog analyzing Aston Martin's 1st half 2021 Results:

wholesale numbers look ok, they are burning through massive amounts of cash, and the Valkyrie is quite the saga.

Boy is that some depressing albeit interesting reading. The Michelin Showstopper award shenanigans is just sad.

Its actually pathetic and was completely unnecessary. Then again Aston excels at "own goals"RobYob wrote: Mon Aug 02, 2021 6:01 am Boy is that some depressing albeit interesting reading. The Michelin Showstopper award shenanigans is just sad.

Yes, and I'm just venting my frustrations on the mess I have gotten myself into.......which reminds me, need to have another talk with the kid about crashing. Its getting really expensive rebuilding his car all the time.

@SSO don't know what you’ll make of this, but now going to be revealing an open top version version of the car they can’t make work…………

"It was interesting listening to Moers on the call, he came across as having all the enthusiasm of an inmate who had just been denied parole."
It sounds like he's been neutered, set up for the fall, and that things are terminal
Re: Analysis of Aston Martin's 1st Half 2021 Results
Well I did have a person who is very well connected in the car world tell me that Mercedes does not want Moers back.nuttinnew wrote: Mon Aug 02, 2021 6:14 pm

In an Andy Palmer way, or because he left in the first place? I imagine you can't elaborate.
Will Aston ultimately end up in the hands of Geely?

Who have just started using Mercedes amg engines in their lotus cars, so would produce the minimum disruption in a buy out
Re: Analysis of Aston Martin's 1st Half 2021 Results
That would be some weird reanimated FrankenPAG parallel dimension stuff. I assume Geely would be canny enough to only purchase AM once the debt was disposed off though.SSO wrote: Mon Aug 02, 2021 9:37 pmGeely is the other quite possible option.nuttinnew wrote: Mon Aug 02, 2021 8:06 pmSSO wrote: Mon Aug 02, 2021 7:51 pm
