Tie Fighter remaster

Post by Delphi »

Fancy beating the rebel scum for the glory of the Empire?

Some mad lads have remade the whole of the awesome Tie Fighter as a mod on top of the X-Wing Alliance game and its modern refresh mod. I couldn't find my old XWA disc, so I bought it again of GOG for £7, downloaded everything and off I went. I've only gone through some training missions but I have to say it's pretty fucking sweet and is well worth checking out.

If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Star Wars squadrons delivered a little bit on this but just didn't have ongoing appeal to me at least. I enjoyed the very short campaign but beyond that I haven't touched it.

The controls were outright obstructive and weren't customisable for PC at least too which didn't help.

I wonder if XWA is in my pile of shame.... I might need to investigate.
