That’s Scotland all over isn’t it . We’re the same at the rugby, start off strong to get the hopes up and fall to pieces as the game goes on.Swervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 4:56 pmIt's a good job
I actially thought they played fairly well from what I saw, but as Duncs said they just couldn't quite make the most of their chances.

1 happy wife after that game! Was a good game actually - some great touches from Ramsey and Bale. That penalty was appalling though
Re: Euro 2020
WD Wales! I do think it's amusing that, actually, most Englund supporters kinda cheer on the other home nations when they're not playing each other (aka. Friday). The other nations hope for a 10-0 defeat in every England game!

Yeah, caught most of the Wales game, gutsy performance but some good chances created too. I was pleased for them, almost certain to advance now.
I hope England batter Scotland of course, but then I hope by some twist of fate they get through anyway. Apparently it is possible on three points, but I haven't studied it so don't know if that still applies.
Would have been lovely to have all the home nations through.

No I'm sorry. I just can't let that go
I'll support anyone against the Welsh, especially in the rugby. Even the Aussies

- I'm the same in the Rugby - anyone but Wales (*). But I'm big enough to admit this is because I'm bitter and petty and begrudge them the success they've had - which is all (through gritted teeth) deserving
(*) - Not South Africa obviously
I'll cheer all the home nations in the football. Wales were superb last night

Wales are almost my 1st team in Rugby. I've always loved their style of play.dinny_g wrote: ↑Thu Jun 17, 2021 8:47 am- I'm the same in the Rugby - anyone but Wales (*). I don't think that's as true as it used to be. It's more often that the biggest country in the union likes to think it's getting picked on by it's smaller neighbours to maintain it's imagined victimhood
An absolute unit
Re: Euro 2020
IT's their "Never Say Die" attitude that I find most impressive.
They could be 12 or 14 points down with 8 minutes to go against any team in the world and its always "This game is far from over".
They just don't know they're beaten... ever - very impressive and hugely frustrating...

Re: Euro 2020
I was wondering when someone would trot that out. Let's just not play sport eh? Just give all the trophies to China and go home.
