Is it just me,
Is it just me,
Or does this look like a trio of massively stoopid vehicles?

Re: Is it just me,
Just shows how unimaginative supercar manufacturers need to be to sell to collectors.
Re: Is it just me,
I guess so
- it looks mad doesn’t it?
- it’s certainly different. So you lose some significant advantages associated with being protected from the elements, and occupants will need to wear full face helmets for almost every journey. What do they get in return for that - not insignificant - compromise then? Obviously we save a couple of kilos, but in the grand scheme that’s less than 2% of the overall weight, so not enough - what else?

Re: Is it just me,
Totally daft, I know they don't want to spend the money to homologate aero-screens (that's a guess) but the results are stupid.
Speedster style would be far more desireable.

Re: Is it just me,
And how much weight is added by both occupants having to wear a lid? Utterly stupid.mik wrote: Wed May 12, 2021 8:38 am I guess so

Meh, they don't appeal to me but they're basically fundraisers for the companies.
The kind of people who buy those will have them for posing around LA or Dubai, no roof needed.
That's if they ever get driven

An absolute unit
Re: Is it just me,
Is this the results of a reduction in car shows? It’s the sort of shite that manufactures would parade out as a concept when they didn’t have something new to show, but in the past they stayed as concepts…….
Re: Is it just me,
Not really much different to the Ariel Atom/Nomad, or that scaled up Tamiya people were getting their fanny's in a wobble about a few weeks ago.
Just because these super expensive versions are unobtainable, I'm sure people are feining the hate.
Show any of them cars to a seven year old, and I'm sure they'd say they're pretty cool.

By Nomad, I mean like stupidly impractical cars. Of course they're very different, but they're all silly cars and just play things in reality.Rich B wrote: Thu May 13, 2021 1:06 pmyep, just like a Nomad... err?Marv wrote: Thu May 13, 2021 12:56 pm Not really much different to the Ariel Atom/Nomad, or that scaled up Tamiya people were getting their fanny's in a wobble about a few weeks ago.

Re: Is it just me,
It doesn't appear to be a difficult cow to milk dry does it?
New body, make it long. Lop the top and windscreen off. Tie it in to some legacy/heritage model with colour and/or numbers.
Must have stripes.
Done.

Re: Is it just me,
The Nomad's design follows its function - that's the whole point. these things are the complete opposite - their impracticality adds nothing.Marv wrote: Thu May 13, 2021 1:31 pmBy Nomad, I mean like stupidly impractical cars. Re: Is it just me,
It is entirely possible that everyone who purchases one of these 3 vehicles already owns a super-lightweight toilet.
Re: Is it just me,
Knowing how taps and the rest are manufactured I can quite comfortably say thats all hydrodipped
Re: Is it just me,
That's the bathroom for a F1 driver, 2 second shit and off you go.
