AA UK dangerous roads map.
AA UK dangerous roads map.
Many from the top 10 lists are normal routes I've taken, I suppose I'll have to drive the others to complete the set.

A595 in Cumbria - I can understand why - this is a cracking road

Also, thisismoney looks a hell of a lot like the Daily Mail

It is the daily mail, in a different name/focus (financial rather than general news) I think.

Re: AA UK dangerous roads map.
Let me guess, its the roads' fault? I think the clue as to the cause of these is in bold.Seven in ten fatal crashes involving 17-to-24-year-olds occur on rural routes
Cheers,

It's the bastard trees fault. Think of all the 17-24 year olds we could save if we lined every road with barriers.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: AA UK dangerous roads map.
Shirley if I regularly use higher risk roads and don't have an accident my insurance should be cheaperer than if they were low risk.
Apols for Fail link. I first saw it on t'local news but they didn't list all the roads. https://www.kentonline.co.uk/kent/news/ ... uk-247065/
I had to check where the A595 was; it was the one I was thinking of so that's another ticked off

I once got a nasty paper cut off a map. Not sure if it was AA or not though.
Re: AA UK dangerous roads map.
I’ve had some awesome runs on it - in all sorts. 3.0 A5 coupe and C350 Sports Coupe are two that stand out. Had tons if fun in a 1.4 Ibiza too.nuttinnew wrote: Wed May 12, 2021 5:44 pm I had to check where the A595 was; it was the one I was thinking of so that's another ticked off![]()
Ravi, formally of this Parish, lived up that way

Yep, thrashing the living daylights out of it but rarely exceeding NSL, trying to carry speed through the corners.
Taking a run up to overtakes and timing it so the approaching car just passes your target as you arrive, just in time to nip out and past takes skill... and cajones!!

Ja ja - the A2 is a 1.4
I didn't go quite that far west last time I was up there (probably a month ago, I should probably post in the fleet thread), I was looking around the old A6 at Shap (I found a good programme about it on yt, I'll find it again and post it). Lots of interesting, challenging, picturesque roads and passes in that region, the view on the way in on the A66 still makes me wow
