Re: Your fleet running reports
On the way back from the shops in the Zoe, the car in front made a sudden stop to let a pedestrian cross. I stopped in time, car behind me didn't. Sigh...
Car that caused the thing drove off, guy that hit me didn't.
A bit shook up. Car will need need bumper and boot lid that I can see. Don't look like there's too much other damage.

Cheers.
At least the Krispy Kreme donuts helped (they may have fallen into the trolley in the supermarket).

Yup. And we've only just finished with the claim from last year when someone ran into the back of the Galaxy.

People seem to forget the thing that passes your driving test is not “good driving” but smooth and predictable driving. Twats

New car incoming.
2012 V60 D5 ES.
Base spec with biggest engine!
Bought from a chap I know who's had it from being 2 year old, has just had all belts and clutch and dmf replaced, and has a factory fitted towbar so I can leave the XF alone for now.
Also has my S60s wheels fitted to it so I get them back .
Can't wait to have a Volvo again.
Need to sell the Peugeot now as we're upto 4 cars

This pisses me off. If there’s nobody behind you then do what you like, but don’t make everyone brake because you want to be nice!DeskJockey wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 9:11 pm the car in front made a sudden stop to let a pedestrian cross.
Hope it’s a cheap and easy fix.

So, claim is in. I guess the silver lining compared to last time is that the driver didn't run, has insurance, and have given the right details.

I do have a soft spot for the Ovlovs. I'll a have dark grey manual 240GLT estate, 164, and obviously a P1800, and maybe a 544.

Get a dashcam, you'd have got the little shits license plate and been able to show it to the polis. I mean, whether they'd do anything is debatable, but at least you'd have it.DeskJockey wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 9:11 am So, claim is in. Re: Your fleet running reports
Cool, I only found out recently they fitted it to the V40 hatch for a while, which I always assumed was 4 cylinder only

Re: Your fleet running reports
Yeah a chap I work with had a V40 D5, it was quite a nippy thing as its only a Focus sized car, was great on fuel as well.
Re: Your fleet running reports
Wouldn’t have mattered any way - Highway Code states you need to be able to stop in the distance you can see to be clear - ergo anticipate unexpected shizzle. Alex did so. Person following him didn’t - hence they are held responsible.Beany wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 9:26 amGet a dashcam, you'd have got the little shits license plate and been able to show it to the polis. Re: Your fleet running reports
Yeah, that's a fair point actually. It still could be useful if insurance get arsey or if the person behind had argued the toss.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Yes. We got a picture of him speeding away which helped. Am considering a dash cam
