It was a result. I didn't think they'd cover it as they specifically exclude seals in their policy wording. I called them before I took it to the dealer, just to enquire, and they agreed to cover the work under the wear and tear section of the policy. So I was and am very happy. And yes, that was me. The seals went a couple of months after that post, and luckily while still in my ownership. I would've been ridden with guilt if they'd failed just as someone had bought it.speedingfine wrote: Wed Jul 04, 2018 8:55 amBit of a result getting them to do that I imagine! Were you trying to sell the car earlier in the year (or is that a different 6 Series on here)Alex88 wrote: Wed Jul 04, 2018 6:12 am Just picked the 650i up from BMW. Been there for almost a month having its valve stem seals replaced under the extended warranty. I am so glad I got that warranty!
The bill wasn't cheap. Glad I wasn't paying...
Only thing I wasn't happy with was the car being returned with no air-conditioning belt... Got that sorted now though.
