Coronavirus
Re: Coronavirus
That's the point. I do.
Re: Coronavirus
How is it a pandemic. then?
Seriously its not anything other than a bad seasonal bug.

“an epidemic occurring worldwide, or over a very wide area, crossing international boundaries and usually affecting a large number of people”
We could have a COVID-themed pantomine: "Oh yes it is!"

How many other fatalities are recorded within 28 days of having it?Jobbo wrote: Fri Apr 16, 2021 1:58 pm“an epidemic occurring worldwide, or over a very wide area, crossing international boundaries and usually affecting a large number of people”

You're supposed to say 'Oh No It Isn't!"
Don't you know anything about pantomimes? If Widow Twankey asked whether smart motorways were dangerous, that would be boring.

Speaking of which - people allowed to watch Snooker in a confined space where coughing is the only exciting bit

Re: Coronavirus
The lockdown has nothing to do with COVID being a pandemic

No clue what youre on about leftie.ZedLeg wrote: Fri Apr 16, 2021 2:04 pmThe lockdown has nothing to do with COVID being a pandemic. There was a flu pandemic 10 years ago that didn't have this level of restriction.
Re: Coronavirus
Technically the common cold and flu should be classed as a pandemic every year.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Coronavirus
Nah, pandemic infections usually have a traceable origin point. Seasonal flus happen all over the world at pretty much the same time.Mito Man wrote: Fri Apr 16, 2021 2:07 pm Technically the common cold and flu should be classed as a pandemic every year.

Property ? Crash
Brexit doesnt seem to have killed the economy yet.

Re: Coronavirus
If you look at the excess deaths statistics it's clearly had an impact, you can ignore the covid deaths statistics as they are somewhat spurious, but even so it clearly precisely meets the criteria of a pandemic!

Re: Coronavirus
How is it seasonal if this time last year 1000 people a day were dying from it, but now we’re well under 100 per day. Maybe because the vaccinations and restrictions you say don’t work do work?
Can you get your head around just how bad it could have been without any restrictions?
As above, you might not believe the COVID deaths but what else has cause the excess death figure that pretty much mirrors it? They aren’t all pub landlords commuting suicide because they’ve been told to close.
I still don’t get what the end game is supposed to be for all the conspiracies going around. None seems to have any idea, just that the whole thing is somehow orchestrated by pretty much every country in the world who have magically all agreed to the same thing at the same time for the first time since never.
