No They just sound crap at any revs. The E9x M3 was the last decent sounding one - since then they've sounded like turbot 4pots, which is odd becuase the 35/40i engined 6pot models haven't sounded turd.

I think they sound OK, from videos at least. The E92 M3 did sound good but to me didn't sound like an M3 because it was a V8.
