I was pleased to find this factoid in a W124 group the other day.

Although mine fees pretty solid, I think you may be right. I still regret not buying an 86 W124? Estate in a fetching blue. If it had been a nicer colour I might have done but it was more than twice the price of a Volvo 760 which had more toys. I wouldn't be surprised if the Merc is still running though, the Volvo..... I sold as spares and repairs with most engine hoses disintegrating.V8Granite wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 11:04 am People should know that when you have a mighty W124 or W126 we are better than those who buy plastic trash anyway.
Dave!

Agreed. The S1 group is fine, there's a few too many with names for their cars, but I can forgive them that.scotta wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 11:48 am
The Lotus groups on the other hand are pretty decent. Quite helpful.

Some of the Saab and Volvo groups, every time I've looked it felt like you have to own one of a very small set of specific model/engine/gearbox combos made within a specific 6 month window, only serviced by specific specialist garages( even if you live 500 miles away) on a full moon, to be accepted as part of the group.Gavin wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 8:18 am I have been in various one make forum groups on t'net and Facebook over the years but I have never come across so many people who post pictures with caption such as "My Baby" or "Love of my life"
