I've been watching the highlights this year, which is a step forward. I tried to get back into WRC too, but it was dull.

I don't know how they could trim any of the racing from yesterday to even make a highlight reel.

This country is shit. I've had my bike a week. Forst service is due after 700 miles, I've done 500. No KTM dealer has a slot for a fucking oil and filter change for 6 - 8 weeks. So that's my bike effectively off the road for summer unless I want to risk warranty issues..

Have you contacted KTM head office? If dealers are so booked up, why don’t they ask you to book the first service as soon as you buy the bike? Or, hire more staff??

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
The only contact details for KTM UK I can find is their Twitter account so I've started there. Even if I'd booked it in 9 days ago (when I bought the bike), Id still have to wait 5 - 7 weeks. It's a fucking joke.

What utter bollocks. That's a 30 minute "service" at tops.
Just as a gesture of goodwill for having bought new from them, they should be able to get their least capable lackey to stay on late one night for you.
This mirrors my main dealer service experience here with the Audi - nothing wrong with the work they did, or the cost funnily enough, but having to book 6-8 weeks (standard amount maybe) in advance and then be told oh no Sir, you're not allowed in the workshop itself or talk to the technicians. Get fucked.

Excuse for a long ride to a dealer far far away maybe?
You settle up, I'll go get the Jag.

They're all far away, and they're all booked up. Best so far is Stoke-on-Trent on the 24th July, which is still shit.

They need to come up with a priority system. If you only use your bike to do 50 miles to and from your MOT on a sunny day, you can fuck off to the back of the queue. If you actually use your bike, you can get seen to quickly.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
Even if I had 0 miles on the clock today, using my bike normally between now and the earliest date I can get a service, I'd go over the mileage. FFS.
I might call Ferrari and see what they can do about my mileage.

I think them not telling you when you collected the bike about the wait for a service slot would be the part that would stick in my throat the most.
Go camp out at the local dealer.

"Local" dealer is an hour away. Next nearest is also an hour away. Supplying dealer is 2 hours away. For once a year servicing, that's not an issue but I didn't think I'd need to go back so soon.JLv3.0 wrote: Tue Jul 03, 2018 3:16 pm I think them not telling you when you collected the bike about the wait for a service slot would be the part that would stick in my throat the most.

If only there was a forum section for complaining...

This is a bit of a tragic situation. KTM should be
As stated - oil change is a 30min job. I have no idea how long it takes to remove the run-in rev-limiter, but I cant see that being an overly arduous job either.
