My office is the front room and I just watched a van drive past, then reverse back to turn around. Except they crashed straight into my next door neighbours brick wall and knocked it over. They completed the turn and parked up on the other side of the road for 10 seconds, then fucked off!

I got a few photos including their number plate - it was an enterprise rental van, so I guess they're going to get clobbered for this one! Fucking wankers - if you break someone's stuff, you own up.

My one experience with Enterprise was when I got a hire car through Porsche assistance - a diesel S-class! On returning the car they then accused me of chipping the windscreen and said I'd need to pay £1,000 to replace it (which clearly I didn't pay)!

Can't imagine these guys will get away with knocking over a wall..

It's not like it was a post that you wouldn't be able to see either! Do you think they got home having no idea when it happened? They probably went into the house and then found it the next day and thought someone did it overnight.

Genuine Q - is that a thing? We seem to do it all the time here in NZ, but that means I'm either A) a cunt or B) I'm losing my reference points for what constitutes as acceptable behavior in the UK - both of which slightly concern me.

Yeah, I’m curious too. Surely it’s better to just dip your tyres onto an open drive than to attempt a multi point turn in the middle of a road?

I try and avoid using people's drives, but if it's a case of just dipping the rear tyres on to their apron I've certainly done that where the road hasn't otherwise been big enough to turn quickly.

I think as with anything, a bit of sensible judgement is all that's needed. You don't really want to be backing all the way on to some small drive and getting near people's stuff, but if there's plenty of room and you dip a tyre on to make turning easier, I don't think it's a big deal.

Absolutely fine imo to use the entrance of a drive to turn around, some streets require it.

People do it on ours and it doesn’t bother me 1 bit.

Just to point out that the bit of pavement isn't theirs. Can't say I've ever given a rat's about using the entrance of someone's driveway - I too didn't know that was a thing.

Yeah, there's a pavement and a bit of grass outside our houses - 8-10ft of dropped pavement before you actually get onto the drives. No problem with people using that, it's not mine. This guy clearly didn't realise a LWB Transit is longer than whatever piece of shit he drives the rest of the time (obviously not if he drives an S class or a Stagea).
