Already up to £110k. With buyers premium that’s about £116k and still 7 days to go.... :/

Cars on that auction site either go for a steal or more expensive than main dealers - seems to be no middle ground!
How about not having a sig at all?

You'd kind of expect it to be less than the £130k the the others are going for right? It's slightly older, but a nice orange colour I admit.
I might still have an early R8 and £95k in change.

So I won the auction for the orange car. I paid £1k more than I’d set my highest bid at before bidding began - I’m only human.

So as mentioned above by @Coaster1 £128,500 total with buyers fee. Given the market value for these seems to be £130k and this one comes with an extra set of wheels with Trofeo tyres I’m fairly satisfied I’ve got a good deal.

With regards to finance, I had the bright idea of checking what the interest rate would be if releasing equity from my flat. Turns out it’s 1.22%, as opposed to 5.9% for the very best car finance deal I could find. So an absolute no-brainer and saves me hundreds of pounds a month in interest.

I’m not legally allowed to collect the car for the time being due to travel restrictions, but that does give me a little more time for the remortgage money to hit my account. I hope to collect in around 10-14 days.

That’s right, I’ve literally mortgaged my house to buy a supercar.

Thanks Ross. It will be spared no mercy at the nurburgring come spring, that’s when the real value of it will be realised. No doubt I’ll have some tales to tell in the coming months

I got outbid at £118k with 5 mins to go. I genuinely thought at that point the clock would run down and I’d get the bargain of the year

Incredible commitment to the cause. Congrats. An early entry (and likely winner) for EFCPOTY 2021 too.

I haven’t actually sold the GT4 yet, so my garage now contains [not literally but effectively]

Mcalren 600LT
Porsche Cayman GT4
Golf Clubsport S

There must be some sort of prize for that *temporary* line up? :D

I have no doubt it’ll be used as intended. No one will be able to keep up on the secret road now.

They’re pretty much number 1 on my lottery list. Can’t think of anything else I’d have over one out of recent machinery.

Yeah totally I’m the same. Maaaaybe that Gordon Murray thing if money completely no object, but ultimately there’s nothing else I’d rather own
