Oh, much want! https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... 2167160147

30th Anniversary 70-series Land Cruiser, imported from Japan, pristine condition, 4.0l petrol engine. £35k seems a very reasonable price for that.

It's a bit...beige.
Re: Today’s want
Yeah, the colour isn't great and I don't like the modern wheels but try finding another in the UK.

Re: Today’s want
i didn't even know that they existed as a modern rerelease! Very cool, despite being Beige (which sounds far better as "Sahara Beige"!)
Re: Today’s want
I know they still sell a 79-series still in South Africa; it's probably the fact that they only seem to come as pickup bodies which means nobody bothers to import them: https://www.toyota.co.za/ranges/land-cruiser-79

Yeah, there's like totally no market for the Navara, Hilux, L200, Amarok, etc pickups in the UK. None at all !Jobbo wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 12:02 pm I know they still sell a 79-series still in South Africa; it's probably the fact that they only seem to come as pickup bodies which means nobody bothers to import them: https://www.toyota.co.za/ranges/land-cruiser-79

But they're already here and you get tax breaks for buying them - why bother importing a cool retro alternative and losing that benefit?Sundayjumper wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 12:29 pmYeah, there's like totally no market for the Navara, Hilux, L200, Amarok, etc pickups in the UK. Like that, painting it forest green and getting some Kragar soft eights on it would make it just right.Jobbo wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 11:36 am Oh, much want! https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... 2167160147

Re: Today’s want
to be fair, the market for older pick ups is strong over here. Particularly 80s single cabs. They should do a re-release of them!Jobbo wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 12:32 pmBut they're already here and you get tax breaks for buying them - why bother importing a cool retro alternative and losing that benefit?Sundayjumper wrote: Tue Dec 22, 2020 12:29 pmYeah, there's like totally no market for the Navara, Hilux, L200, Amarok, etc pickups in the UK. Re: Today’s want
You can still get the non-pickup 70 series in NZ in 5 door and the odd looking 3 door with two 90L fuel tanks that must be eye watering to brim:

Re: Today’s want
They're placing a value of about £10k on all that plastic!
Re: Today’s want
That seems fair enough. Oh. You don't mean a negative value do you
