Assume you need a decent ‘scope to view this?

Should be obvious - I noticed the two spots of light a few night ago so should be visible with the naked eye - Binoculars would help as both light points will be in the field of view.

It's going to be relatively low on the horizon so line of sight and background light will be an issue. I'm fortunate in that a 10 minute walk will bring me out into the fields - very dark and MK being very low rise, not much light and wide horizon...

It is worth having a telescope to see Jupiter and Saturn as you can make out the cloud bands on the former and the rings on the latter as well as their satellites. Otherwise you’re just seeing dots no different to stars.
Low angle means you don’t need to be craned over at a silly position to see it either.
I don’t know why people are excited about them being close together as it doesn’t make any difference.
How about not having a sig at all?
