Perhaps a little niche but I know there are a few outdoors folks on here.

Doug Scott died today age 79... :(

First Britain to climb Everest and did it the hard way. Crawled on his hands and knees from 7200m on the Ogre with two broken legs. Proper old skool hard climber but very much from the hippy 60’s climbing community.

He also took my favourite ever mountain photo...

Haven't heard of him but impressive achievements!

Except that the summit is out of frame in that photo 😉

😂 - I think it’s the lump on the far right with the bit of light on it...
