Do you mind sharing how much its costing? I guess I'd just need to get the exhaust shipped to me, but would give me a rough idea. Need to get mine done in the new year.

Tony Banks make them on the day for your car - you go in, tell them what you want noise wise (no drone, it all to go mental at 3.5k) and which tips you want from their selection. Usual cost is 400

I had 2 stainless exhausts made for Alfa's in the early 2000's as you couldn't get pattern parts for them. They really took pride in their work considering they would be covered in crap in 20 minutes and probably never seen by the owner of the cars again.

Thats good to know. Powerflow and Topgear seem to be all the same thing / franchises too. I had a powerflow on my starion turbot many years ago. Probably the only none shit part of it lol

Bought a short shift today after putting it off for ages. 9 part do made up shifters as below and with 20 percent off it seemed a good starting point to get rid of the play in mine.

After waiting 3 weeks for some tailor made rubber mats I can tell you 987 cayman mats are not the same as boxster ones

SSK arrived and is going in on weds. It's pretty impressively robust actually.

I sorted my temperature button at long last and washed the car today. Couldn’t find the stuff to do the roof though thanks to recent shed moves.

Also, £400? Is that because it's midenginged/less pipes required? Prices I saw were more like £600-800 for the E46 six pots?

Yes essentially less fabricating and material. Your prices are right for full cat backs and its the same for a 987. If you choose not to have silencer to manifold its 300 less - all they do is replicate the standard tube + ,and a big plus, the 3 bolts either side snap at the manifold and need time to get out. I've had this done already so best to leave it as is.

The smell of Fabsil has finally left my cabin. I'm not sure I'd use it again. When I got it done last year they used this - maybe give it a whirl if you dont find yours

Bought the car Nov 27th last year and running bills including tax (which was in with leasing hence the comparison) comes to £2889.98

Year 3 renting a golf estate wouldve been a very similar cost.

Yes although I did get 1.5k off it when purchased. Looking on autotrader just now for 2007 55k miles sports edition with 4/5 owners there aren't many and range from 12 - 20k so figure its not cost me much

I think that's where I am with mine now - apart from the exhaust in the Spring, there's nothing needing done to it.

I did think about that when Rich mentioned it. Two rear tyres and exhaust and we are upto 900 already.

Other than those items I am hoping nothing else will require fixing.
