They’ll just stick a separate meter on the charge point supply and use a different tariff for that surely?
At first I thought that, but that's of little use if you're using a 3-pin, or charging on-street. Then there's the issue of what do you do about those that can use superchargers for free - could be canny if you live near one and just use that all the time.
It's less straightforward than you'd think.
As Simon says above, GPS tracking is the most logical way to do it.
