I thought he was good, just didn't get the scripts. He had the right blend of panache and action skillz for me. Just a personal preference, but I don't mind you arguing for Connery as he was great too. Craig on the other hand...

Moore is my favourite, probably because he was Bond when I was a kid. That doesn't make him the best though, just like I have favourite albums by bands but they're not objectively the best albums.

Anyway, what do we watch with the kids tonight.... The Rock?
Cheers,

Mike.

Not really a fan of Craig as Bond. Too serious for me. He's great in some other films though - Knives Out, Logan Lucky etc.

Connery's Bond was too smarmy. Didn't have the charm of Moore or Brosnan. I think with the right films Brosnan would objectively be the best - best balance of charm, humour, seriousness etc

AFAIK Craig's Bond is closer to the books, right? A bit broken, dark, a little bit psycho? I think that's why he's my favourite.

RIP. He was brilliant in The Rock and The Medicine Man. He made a career out of playing himself, regardless of the character's nationality or accent!

9,000 very old ladies will be telling everyone he delivered their milk in the next week or so. (not a euphemism)

I have Dalton near the top of my Bond lists. He was in two decent films with decent casts and was pretty close to Fleming's Bond from the novels. He is good but like many of my generation I preferred the Moore era Bonds due to their effects being better, the cars more modern, LOL funnier.

Daniel Craig is a serious American style Bond. Moore was always my favourite as he was a bit cheeky and funny with it.

You weren’t convinced he was Russian in Red October? ;)

(Aside - love that film, but it always riled me that the countdowns in the trench run scene aren’t in proper seconds. It’s like 10......9.........8....7..6..5..4......3.........2.... )

Have any of you seen "The Presidio". It's got one of my favourite Connery scenes. He did that cold, threatening thing very well.

Oh, and anyone who says Brosnen was in the top 3 Bonds hasn't seen any of his films apart from Goldeneye.

Thank you. Was thinking about the thumb scene but couldn't remember the movie.

His accent, from memory, was as convincing as when he was a Spanish Count in Highlander, or the Irish Cop in the Untouchables :D .

My Lego collection fell on my head. I blame my shelf. Saw that meme doing the rounds last year, made me chuckle.

RIP Sir Sean, absolute legend.

Most of the stuff I'm seeing now is people bringing up his comments about hitting women. I thought he'd admitted he was wrong some time ago but you know, the internet...
Cheers,

Mike.
