Hello it’s been a while.

Post by BenP »

Hi all, I’ve finally been able to login. I’ve not been on the new forum since the Evo one died but I’ve been keeping up on the FB page.
Tbh cars took a back seat in my life what with getting married and a little one arriving. Anyway I sold my Z4C and bought a Merc GLC 250 diesel to transport the family around and also have a fiesta titanium petrol to knock about in. I’ve got another car coming soon which is not a normal car and once it’s in my garage I’ll post some pics. 👍

Hey Ben, welcome back.

I just picked up a GLC300 for the same family hack duties - Pretty happy with it so far but it's a heavy beast isn't it...

It certainly is! I thought the brakes needed looking at at first. I do love it for the motorway cruises. Nearly silent and we can get 50mpg on a good run. Ours is on the 20” wheels and I was very sceptical before the test drive but it’s absolutely fine for ride comfort.

Brexit is a no no from me. Voted remain given up talking to leavers about it 😩

Covid, had it. Messed me up for nearly two weeks, after 8 days phoned the doctors and asked for help. Got antibiotics and they sorted me out as it had gone to my chest so couldn’t breath.

I quite like white letters on tyres 😬

Welcome back, Ben/Ron!

I've only been back a few months and have recently acquired a 1987 Porsche 928 S4 with an X-Pipe exhaust.
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Hi Ben 😃

I like the GLC. I particularly like the fact Merc sell a 6-cyl GLC350 diesel. Shame they don’t bother with the W205 C-class when it would clearly fit.

Standard TIT unfortunately, but will be for sale in the coming months if anyone is interested. 🤷‍♂️
