Agreed about the usefulness of the 10pm rule but it is very easy to follow.duncs500 wrote: Tue Sep 29, 2020 11:45 am I see, you're right that it's possible to avoid it to some degree, but equally if even if you're in a group of two time can get away from you in a pub! I also remember being a youth and would probably have flouted the rules too, so it's hard to hold too much against them. I just question whether the 10pm rule really offers any significant benefits to offset the cost and hassle.
The table service rule makes a lot more sense (I worry whether some smaller pubs can afford the staff levels needed, but I can see the benefits in it so support it).
I also think the media is making it look far worse than it really is but it doesn’t change how people are acting. The public are strange odd people.
Dave!

I reckon more made up shite being announced tomorrow. Can't wait.

Maybe she's so nationalistic she thought she'd pop down and give those English feckers in Westminster a good dose?jamcg wrote: Thu Oct 01, 2020 10:45 pm https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-54379026

I see Sturgeon has disowned her but she's not stepped down as an MP yet. Utterly selfish and moronic.

I mean, let's ignore that she ignored everything we've been told to do by going to London in the first place. But to then say she needed to get advice once she got the positive news? Advice about what? And then even after that, she went home by public transport?
She should be booted out the party for clearly not having the required intelligence or common sense to be an MP in the first place. How can anybody trust her to be making decisions on behalf of the electorate if she's that stupid?

What did Ruth Davidson say about Cummings or any of the myriad Tories who flouted rules?

What's Ruth Davidson got to do with anything? I can't remember what she said about Cummings, but he should have been booted out - his actions have done massive harm to the whole thing. Any of them who flouted the rules should have lost their "job" as an MP. We keep getting told that we're living in
unprecedented times, but those preaching to us about following the rules have been caught flouting them, so they should be punished.
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Coronavirus
There are a couple of major differences with Cummings - he's not an elected MP so his role is entirely down to the person who employed him, i.e. Boris. And he didn't actually have COVID19, unlike Ferrier - who didn't just have it, she knew she had it by the time she made the train journey home.
Sounds like I'm defending Cummings; I'm not, but Ferrier's actions are at least an order of magnitude more serious, and her breach of duty to the people she represents makes her position untenable.
Anyway; Trump has tested positive. Wonder if he'll have it badly like Boris and become a COVID paranoid zealot when he recovers?

I really hope he gets a nasty dose, although I’m not sure I’d actually wish death on anyone.
Shame it’s probably all fake news bullshit or got some other spin to make him look like the best and strongest president ever.

Re: Coronavirus
Jobbo is correct. Cummings should've been sacked, this dullard should step down. End of story. Even if she wore a mask on the train she would've left her germs on everything she touched. She needs to go. Today.

Re: Coronavirus
It got me thinking... obviously Scotland has a different track & trace app to the one in England. Is there connectivity between the two for cases like this where someone goes from one country to the other? I'm guessing there should be if its all triggered by an NHS test reference number?
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Coronavirus
The NHS COVID tests aren't logged by the app, apparently - so I think expecting connectivity between England and Scotland is way too optimistic!Ascender wrote: Fri Oct 02, 2020 11:33 am It got me thinking... obviously Scotland has a different track & trace app to the one in England. Re: Coronavirus
I think that's been fixed now. It was fixed a day or two after it was reported.

Re: Coronavirus
You can lot a positive test result carried out by the NHS manually now, if you request a code. So it's not totally broken now, but it seems ridiculous that you have to manually log an NHS test result in the NHS app when the private tests are automatically logged.Simon wrote: Fri Oct 02, 2020 12:03 pm I think that's been fixed now.
