And while not having met him, I've had many a long chat with him on FB PM and he's always been a good sort.

Paraphrasing a twitter discussion, but he realised he was wasting time arguing with folks on here - better to spend his time not arguing (ok arguing less ) with folks on other platforms that were providing a more positive experience. Hence I don’t think he’ll be back.

Given that he started almost all of the arguments he then complained about being involved in, I think his experiences elsewhere will be broadly similar.
