^^ My car does this too. But it's not just about pushing the pedal 90%, it's about how quickly you go from accelerator to brake and how quickly you push the brake pedal down that the system uses to evaluate if you really are doing an emergency stop and whether it should help you or not.

I also have pedestrian detection that uses the front cameras, but I haven't tested this out yet. 😀

I also don’t want brake assist thingies that decide to deploy 100% braking cos I have requested 90%. If I wanted 100% I’d squeeze a bit harder.....
The problem is that not everyone is a driving god like what we is. Apparently the great unwashed don't give it 100% even in full on panic braking whereas we will obviously be cadance declutching while healing and towing just through instinct.

I always enjoy the way women break your stuff by not doing as you ask, then manage to twist it so they're pissed off with you because you're annoyed! 😂
ExMrsChoo2 got very very angry with me once because I had let Saab design the 9-5 so you had to put it in reverse to be able to remove the key. She also was really rather cross that I had let Saab put a central locking button by the gear stick that if you pressed it, didn't let you use the interior door handles.

I discovered "my" mistake when she stormed into the house and informed me that my car was up the road with the keys in it and the windows open.

And let's not even discuss the "Why do you park my car in gear! Every time I go to start it after you drive it, I lurch forwards. It's your fault."

For some reason, despite the reduced access to my son, I don't regret getting divorced.

My parents X5 does this from 2009, but it’s stupid as I drive automatics with both feet so I can trigger it rather easily. I’m surprised the system doesn’t use cameras entirely and still does it by measuring reflexes.

My Volvo did it - often when approaching a parked car in a lay-by or similar, if the curve in the road offended it. Quite irritating.

Whenever you see an i3 stopped at the traffic lights if you get closer than 1 metre to it’s rear bumper you can trigger the PDC to fully blare and piss of its driver

The Volvo doesn’t immediately brake when it encounters a roadside object which it thinks you’re going to hit. It first flashes a dash warming, bongs at you and lifts the accelerator a bit.

Just the once? :p

Mine once scraped the entire side of my A8 along a concrete post because it was my fault the stupid car I bought was too big to get out of the parking space she had got it in to in the first place. Go figure.

Non, je ne regrette rien.

Our Skoda does it. It really doesn't like it if you're braking at, say, 80% for someone turning left in front of you with you leaving just enough room such that you won't have to stop as they make the turn. Usually does ot with a car full of people for added embarassment. It can FRO and if it was my car it would be switched off.

Other people kept scraping the corners of her car. All four corners! What are the chances!

While posting in the moaning forum about how rubbish STATION GARAGE, MILNTHORPE are, I remembered I’d not done a gratuitous engine pic. Not that you can see much, but here you go. Needs cleaning.

AND I have a very THRILLING and AMAZING mpg update. Filling up today, brim-to-brim, with the OBC showing 23.9 mpg, I make it more like 21 mpg actual. Financially, for the miles I do, it's really not a big deal but mentally that sounds like 20mpg rather than the "high twenties" that I'd prefer to tell myself...

The car has nothing to do with me, but I thought you lot would like the Dangerous Structure call that I sent a surveyor out to tonight.

This driver misjudged leaving their own car park, and drove through a wall rather than the exit about 15 metres away...
