Re: Holiday prices
We stopped doing hotels a few years back, we always hire an apartment through Booking.co, or sometimes Airbnb, we’ve had some lovely places in Spain, Gran Canaria, Corfu, Naples etc. We’re limited with flights as we only have Leeds or Newcastle in reasonable taxi distance. Nothing much goes from ...

Re: The Weather Thread.
I made the mistake of not clearing the snow off the cars yesterday and after a slight thaw the melting snow has now frozen solid overnight
Yep, did the same also I forgot to deice the rear screen and turned the wiper on which resulted in it spinning on the shaft but not going anywhere so ...

Re: The Weather Thread.
We had plenty of snow and ice a couple of days ago, the back end came round on the X1 just turning a corner in our estate but probably not helped by new Eagle F1 on the front and no name ditchfinders on the rear.

Re: FCA Investigation - Car Finance
Anyone had anything back? Last email we got said probably December we would hear.
I received this on December 17th:
“We’ve decided to end the complaint handling extension on 31 May 2026, rather than 31 July 2026 as consulted on. This will help ensure that consumers do not wait any longer than ...

Re: Hermes/Evri
UPS just came to the door, which I was painting the other side of, clearly visible through the window. Without stopping, or ringing the bell, he puts a card through saying ‘sorry we missed you’ that was clearly pre written, and fucks off! I didn’t even have time to get down and open the door.

Knives out 3 absolutely outstanding ensemble knocks out another very entertaining whodunnit.
A touch too long but it'd be hard to pick what to cut.
Josh Brolin absolutely rips into the hellfire priest role.
Four unexpected phantoms out of five.
Just watched it, the weakest of the 3 imo, it ...

I don’t know what it is but I just can’t get behind either McLaren driver, Piastri whines like a child and Lando always looks likes he’s about to burst into tears. Though it pains me to say it as I despise Red Bull but I’d actually like to see Max win his 4th title…

Re: Car insurance
I’m looking at insurance for my next car on money supermarket, it quoted me £720.50 per year with quote me happy.
I added an aftermarket exhaust to see how much extra it would cost and the quote with the same insurer came in at £636.
Not sure how heavily modified the car needs to be to get the ...
