Ok, so I’ve never actually seen IT. The trailer for IT 2 is on Netflix and I thought I might give it a try despite not really being into horror. Now can I watch IT follow by IT 2 and still live a fulfilled life or do I need to watch the Tim Curry version as well?

You can watch this without the Tim Curry version.
I would say it’s a lot more true to the book, given the obvious constraint of an 800 or 900 page book with tiny print being covered in just 6 hours or so.
I think it’s excellent and I have read the book at least once per year since the late 1980’s
