Re: Decent Recent TV
The Capture on the beeb is quite good. All about CCTV and deep fakes, six episodes, one left to air. And Ron Perlman is in it.
Holy post resurrection batman, only recently discovered this on Netflix. You must have been commenting on season 1, but season 2 is even better. Really enjoyed both ...

Re: Centrelock Wheels on Road Cars

With ...

Re: No F1 thread?
One of those where you could easily see Oscar being in the same position, and the same result. Norris is certainly not the most aggressive driver out there. Expecting the team to swap them back was a bit ridiculous really.
Dull race on the whole though. I think McLaren's saving grace in terms of ...

Re: FTAO of Coffee Whankhorz
@Marv when one puts it into context against what one has spent on the Elise, I'd say that the coffee adventure is quite a bit cheaper than the Lotus adventure! Value is purely about perception.

Re: FTAO of Coffee Whankhorz
All reactions fair and justified. I justified it to myself (and the wife) because I got most of the cost covered on a long train delay recently.

I may have just gone and done something rather rash. :D
Thanks, now I want one.
HaHa, a friend introduced me to them ages ago. They used to be a lot cheaper and he'd bought one for his brother as a present. So I had a go at him yesterday for forcing me to get one by telling me about them ...

Re: FTAO of Coffee Whankhorz
I have a mate that puts 2 tablespoons of ground coffee in a mug, pours boiling water on and drinks it. Sometimes stirs with aforementioned, tablespoon sometimes doesn't.
Like a fast Turkish/Greek coffee
Popular in Poland too I've found out (wife's family often do it like that), looks like ...

As an aside, I have been musing lately as to whether this is (on average) the best grid of drivers we've ever had? Most of the rookies are doing a job.

I haven't seen any benefits to the ground effect era cars in terms of the spectacle. The closeness is a function of the rules having not had significant changes for a while.

Re: No F1 thread?
Saw someone doing the maths that said max no longer needs a McLaren dnf to theoretically win th driver’s championship
did he ever? there’s 7 races left, 175 points up for grabs and he’s only 69 points behind. He needs the others to fuck up, but it’s still all to play for.
Most people seem to ...
