Re: Your fleet running reports

Partially lit beemer not looking entirely awful. https://i.imgur.com/Nbh3SnH.jpg Changed the thermostat and waterpump over the weekend. Once the clutched fan is out of the way it was much simpler than I expected. Until.... It was nearly all reassembled and the damn stupid sodding crappy plastic crap...

Re: Decent Recent TV

swamp thing wow episode 1 packed a whole lot of stupid into one hour. Pretty crappy animation too for a new series. Can't see it getting any better.

Re: Dyson EV

AFAIK design was all or majority UK and production in Singapore, which was a slightly odd choice apart from the pool of cheap labour nearby from Malaysia. But then why not just build in Malaysia?

Re: Dyson EV

Anyone who went to Dyson should have really known the challenges of non-car manufacturers trying to make cars and how much of a risk it would be. But you wouldn’t expect the company to still be taking engineers on in the last weeks and months leading up to a complete cancellation of the project. Es...

Re: The Movie Thread

I just started watching Breaking Bad yesterday. Don't worry. It's overrated. Some of it is superb but quite a lot is dull. Not in the same league as The Soprano's, Gomorra, Chernobyl etc. The 3rd series of BB is pretty dull, but worth enduring for the rest. Oh, I binged the first two seasons...

Re: Teh Spotted Thread

Passed a new and very very lovely Navy Blue Mclaren GT on the A11 this afternoon, sadly camera phone decide having my windscreen wipers in focus was better than the Macca

Was a good spotting drive as an Osprey flew overheard as I passed Mildenhall too.

Re: The Movie Thread

Joker outstanding acting, stunning cinematography and pretty much exactly what I don't want out of a superhero/villain movie. It had some slightly odd moments where you're expected to play along with the regular comic book movie tropes while watching the grimmest, grimiest most "real" version of Go...

Re: Elite Dangerous

The last paragraph is where I'm going wrong I think. By hotspot do you mean Extraction Site? And if so, what do the different levels signify? I just thought the overlap was an area in the middle of two close Extraction Sites. Nah hotspots and extraction sites are two different things. These days it...

Re: Elite Dangerous

Yeah doesn't sound like you've found the right spot. IIRC someone did the numbers for Low Temperature Diamonds and it wasn't worth mining any asteroid with less than 17% I imagine it's similar for Painite, they should be fairly numerous too although you sometimes get stuck in an unlucky low yield zo...

They apparently already know - to within 30kg.
30kg too heavy, fabricate a new chassis in aluminium.

30kg too light, fabricate new chassis in cast Iron.

Just right, fabricate new seats in aluminium with cast iron runners.

Ok for what?

Re: Bye Bye Boris!

Apparently we'll need an ATA Carnet to bring a work laptop into the EU after Brexit? Cost quoted as £326/year per item required. Obviously worth it for a blue passport made in France. Probably not that much, I think the carnet I last did was £2k for £100k of gear. A total freaking PITA for a laptop...
