Re: The House Projects Thread
That is beyond pathetic. 5 years  I have got some legal problems with the council, don't think it's sensible to share yet but for a council on the brink of bankruptcy I am surprised at the amount of resources they've thrown into this - full on private investigator levels of craziness going on....

Re: FAO BMW i3-istas
Hmm, the one I drove was a 2014 Rex which was the original smallest 60ah battery version. From that experience I can't recommend the Rex simply because the Rex portion of it kept having drivetrain errors which needed to go into BMW for 2 weeks at a time about twice a year. The petrol tank also pisse...

At least it's just one hard press of the throttle to turn off the system for the whole journey from what the EVO story says. Not yet another option in yet another sub menu...

Re: Today’s want
What age of car? The 4 speed in the C5 and C6 keeps things interesting by kicking down to 2nd instead of 3rd when you don't expect it, giving unpredictable sideways moments in the wet! Aside from that it spoils the car. When I was selling them, it was 70% manual 30% auto until they brought out the ...

Re: Bye Bye Sunak..
It’s all an attempt to get free labour probably because all the very cheap labour fvcked off during Brexit and there’s a shortage in these “honourable jobs”. Look at how it’s weighed. A whole year of military service vs 24 days of volunteering. Almost every single person will end up picking the latt...

Classic car racing at Brands today had 458s, 997s and same vintage Vantage GT3s racing. But they’re still new I thought. Then I do the maths and realise most of the teenagers spectating weren’t even born when those cars first began racing 😮 I was there yesterday too Mad to think there was a long pe...

I thought k-mags move was even more stupid than Ocon and he got a Penalty. At least Ocon went down the inside

Turbocharged at 102 rpm. I wonder if the lag can be measured in minutes, and how may PSI that can generate.

Christ they like to make an event out of it don't they? Am I tuning in to a motor race or a procession of shite anthems and singing?

Re: Today’s want
It's hard to get accurate numbers but it seems like 70% of Corvette sales were automatic on average. Look at Autotrader and it's more like over 95% automatics so there's definitely an automatic preference when importing in the UK. My dad says it's probably because people here are uncomfortable drivi...

Every so often I get an urge and start looking at old Corvettes. Why the fuck is almost everything which is imported here an automatic. I can't think of anything worse than a 4 speed auto in a car like that

Re: Your fleet running reports
The only real solution is a no tag no start or a ghost. Ghost is still CAN bus based though ? So although it's very clever it's only a matter of time before it gets hacked - as long as criminals can physically tap into the CAN bus wiring it's open to exploitation. I was thinking yesterday a mechani...

It’s a stupid idea, probably just to boost the pathetic armed forces count. 2 types of people at 18 - those who are going straight to a job/apprenticeship and those who are going to uni. (Ok there’s a very small minority of gap year soul searchers too). Not sure any of them would like to piss away a...

Just looking at the bottom of this forum and there's a Google Bot online probably collating any old bollocks and using them as facts.
Not sure why they don't only use a list of professional sites and online encyclopaedias to train it.

Wonder if Leclerc will stuff it in the wall first or if Ferrari will find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Got round to fitting my new shiny brakes on the 6. https://i.postimg.cc/2CNSyVKr/IMG-0671.jpg?dl=1 It was all very enjoyable and didn’t take half a day this time. I am surprised the rear calipers are not seized, they looked like they came off the bottom of the ocean and even the caliper pistons look...
