Re: Bye Bye Sunak..

Yeah, hundreds of millions of pounds spent, no one sent, countless lost legal cases and the best they've had is a "rumour" that some illegals aren't crossing into NI because the threat of going to Rwanda. Thats the best lie the Tory's could come up with. It's not been a policy that has wo...

Re: Bye Bye Sunak..

I wouldn't vote Lib Dem now because they had their chance, fucked it up and aren't in any way a party capable of running the country. It was nearly a decade ago, at some point people are going to need to move past it. OK, they've had nearly 10 years but they have not moved things forwards one iota ...

Re: Bye Bye Sunak..

Vote Lib Dem. If it’s enough to stop either of the others getting a majority it’ll be a good thing. We all know what we’ll get from Labour. Years of everything still being shit but “it’s not our fault the conservatives did it”. Then the money hose gets turned on and everything is brilliant…. until ...

Re: Test drive report

I did consider a GR86 - Jon offered me his allocation from the second batch - but I just didn’t want one as much. Not open-topped, it’s a bit of a one-trick pony to me: lovely to drive but that’s it. I’d rather have a GR Yaris I think. Just adding - the spec of that one in the video is pretty much w...

Re: Cazoo

I saw yesterday afternoon that they were going into administration. Not much chance anyone would rescue the business, I'd guess. My stepson worked for CarStore which was part of Evans Halshaw (Pendragon). Pendragon was taken over by a US company and they decided to show down CarStore's operations; I...

Probably end of June/beginning of July. I've got quite a bit on during the next month so delivery timescale is as much dependent on my diary

Re: Test drive report

8-) Nice. I can understand where you're coming from with all your logic with the Emira, but I don't see why the special-ness of it would wane? I don't think it would for me. I've seen quite a few now, and consistently gives me a feeling I've seen something a bit special (something for Porsches only...

Re: Test drive report

Thanks Mik. I do want all teh carz though, so it's not going to stop me looking at 911s. I think a 992 would be a really nice further addition in a couple of years' time, probably prompted by them going hybrid or similar.

I do tend to unbuckle when we are on the ground taxiing, but I keep it done up all flight. Just slackened off a bit while eating or sleeping.

Re: Test drive report

Did you have a test drive? I don’t think the 184 “needs” any more power really and the engine really suits the car. It’s my favourite out of the five I’ve owned including the supercharged nc. I test drove a 2019 ND2 last year - liked the car, did not like the spec of the one I drove (cloth seats, M...

Re: The House Projects Thread

Somehow in the 220 years the new house has been standing, the local council has not registered it with the Royal Mail to go on their postcode database. That'll be £120 please. That's bizarre. Royal Mail didn't give us any money back when they randomly changed our business postcode, meaning our lett...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I will be replacing them with a set of Conti Sport Contact 6s in OE Audi spec because they've been great. I was going to highlight that the 7 is out now, but it doesn't appear to be available in S6 size yet click How bizarre - 255/35R20 and 255/45R20 but not the 40 profile. Anyway, I have been very...

Re: Your fleet running reports

The Audi's tyres looked a bit worn so I measured the tread depths - evenly worn and still over 2mm left except on the shoulders where tread is still visible. 26,600 miles on them; I have got my money's worth. Yet they still didn't cause me any issues driving to work on a sopping wet M5 today. I will...

Re: Test drive report

I thought you were buying an Emira? I do like the Emira but the reality is, it's a lot of money (even if it gets to sub-£60k) to tie up in a car I won't use that often. Half the amount gets me a brand new MX5 which I will probably keep forever - I really regret selling both my previous mk1s now. Go...

It’s a great colour but it’s by far the most common one on the current shape MX5 so I’d not choose it. Think I’m going Aero Grey.
