Re: Trump
Yep, and Biden has to shoulder a fair amount of the blame here. by hanging on for so long he massively hampered Harris’ campaign run (or whoever would have ended up standing). Trump had all the momentum of primaries/etc.. whereas Harris had a few months, essentially still tied to Bidens presidency ...

Re: Redundancy
Thanks - to be clear we are at the consultancy 'at risk' stage. There are 3 of my technical 'group' in this pre-sales team, and one of us is going. Don't know who yet. It sucks. I was reflecting tonight on the jobs I've had over 27 years in IT. Job 1: Made redundant 2: Saw the writing on the wall an...

Re: Trump
I really don't understand why they would lose so many votes compared to Biden in 2020... hmmmm let me think. Don't forget that America as a whole is way more racist & misogynistic & right wing than we can comprehend. My wife says that in some ways she prefers the US, because their racism is...

Absolutely. And to complain at depreciation and then to actually crystalise that depreciation by SELLING is crazy. If he'd kept it for 3-4 years that depreciation would've looked much better spread out over that time, especially as the curve looked like it flattens a lot.

If Trump loses my eyes will be on Elon, not Trump. Can't wait to see the smugness disappear from his face.

It’s funny, when I used Clarkson as an example on twitter he was also a bad one and I should’ve been looking at folk like James Dyson. I wonder who a good example would be, King Charles? ;) Duke of Westminster... https://www.theguardian.com/money/2016/aug/11/inheritance-tax-why-the-new-duke-of-west...

OK, so you'll admit that some my friend's family will be hit by this, and this lefty rag has a good explanation of why the government's estimate of affected farms is bollocks.

It's interesting how there is a view on the left that those with money are the least entitled to an opinion about how they are taxed on it, and those not impacted by such taxes can voice their opinions till the end of time.

Re: Bye bye Starmer
GG is correct. Labour should've been up front and said 'sorry, we need more money to fix stuff' and reversed the 2p NI cut, which would've raised £10b. They (correctly) raised the minimum wage so low earners would've been shielded from this a fair bit. Add in raising fuel duty and you suddenly have ...
