Thanks very much. Appreciate that a lot.
Funny you say that, I was actually told by someone else that this was an old school type repair and wouldn't have been unusual back in the day. We also wrapped the ends of the box in a bit of electrical tape as well to ensure no moisture or dust works it's ...

Re: Mental Health
Thanks guys, I appreciate the advice and perspective check, which goes missing when overcome with the negative thoughts.
You're right Mik. There circuit would surely trip if there was something going on. It never did when we were there. The repair was done a couple of years ago now. My thing has ...

Re: Mental Health
Cheers Dinny. Almost weird reading someone having gone through the same mental process that I am now! Glad it subsided for you.
I 100% get it. I've worked myself into a corner here, because ultimately it's a bodge of a repair, and there's not much I can do about it without opening a can of worms ...

Re: Mental Health
As a way of update, things are going ok. Not great, not bad, but ok.
The NHS sessions didn't prove overly helpful and I discharged myself from the service. I am booked in with a private coach who specialises in anxiety and OCD.
While I'm better at understanding worry, I'm not so good at ...

Thanks for all the comments, chaps. Really appreciate you all taking the time to post :D
The recommendations are really helpful. Dinny, if you see this, I would appreciate those details - thank you.

Re: Mental Health
Thanks everyone. Some brilliant suggestions there and I'm very grateful.
Whilst I'm under the cloak of complete and total anonymity ( ) I will provide a brief bit of context.
Basically, my anxiety and OCD are ultimately the result of prolonged childhood trauma. Thinking about it, considering ...

Re: Mental Health
There's no real point to this post other than to get it off my chest a bit. I think I'm a classic anxiety sufferer who portrays an image of stability and level-headedness, when I'm actually jumping from crisis to fucking crisis!
I always describe this using the swan analogy. I look like I’m ...

Re: Mental Health
Cheers dudes. I really appreciate the words of understanding.
It's a properly shitty thing to deal with. I have to take some serious action now as I've stupidly ignored it and buried my head in the sand over the years and let it turn into what it is today. But better late than never, ey!

Re: Mental Health
I am already a member/infrequent poster on here, but set up a new account to post this (please don't expose me if you work out who I am!) as I’m very embarrassed to admit that I have been suffering with generalised anxiety (with a particular focus on health and social anxiety) and OCD for a long ...
