Re: Trump guilty

JFC Dave!, you're not seriously both siding Russia's invasion are you ? You need to get out of whatever echo chamber you're getting that from. At what point, in anything I’ve ever written on the subject have I been pro invasion ? I didn't say you're pro invasion. You're both siding when it's very o...

Re: Randomness

Oh, a quick Google answered that one. 5,608,310 lbf⋅ft @ 102 rpm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W%C3%A4rtsil%C3%A4-Sulzer_RTA96-C I didn't spot the thermal efficiency in the Wikipedia article so I did some more digging. Apparently the engine is over 50% thermally efficient - i.e. more than half of t...

I don’t have an opinion about n what he wants to do in Ukraine. I do know that the media is very 1 sided and I was sick of seeing Russians evil, Ukrainians good all over the British media. It’s a shame that there HAS to be a good and evil side to things and people laughing at dead conscripts made it...

It was a pitiful speech, I don’t think he is evil though. I think someone who doesn’t recognise their own grandchild as evil. I genuinely get a very nasty feeling about him and think he will make things worse. The Americans I work with despise him but I work in a Labour type job so that skews things...

Re: Trump guilty

I’m not pro trump, I’m just far more believing of him than most politicians. He has no filter, no script writer and whether he does something nasty or good it’s more believable than most others. He is the person who calls you a cunt to your face. Biden screams all kinds of evil to me and personally ...

Imagine if the level of effort put to Trump to find issues was put to all politicians.

How did they get all the power, does any normal person actually get into power at all ?

Re: Do automatic ICE cars need tachometers/rev-counters?

Do people really look at the Rev counter or can you see it in your peripheral ?

You don’t stare at it you can just see it.

Re: Do automatic ICE cars need tachometers/rev-counters?

I use it all the time when towing as it normally wants to be in 1 gear too high. For playing I generally keep it below 4500 and only go to the limiter if the kids demand it. It adds a bit of enjoyment if you can slightly lift and get it to change up. In the old auto 500e I use it more as I generally...

8-) Will ask the wife to record that, nicely done Gavster

Use by dates are just a reflection of your level of risk, if you aren’t prepared to do a taste test on a 2 month old yoghurt, are you even worth being alive ?

Re: New 911

I’d be surprised if the main load bearing components lost their oil film that quickly. Also the first part under load to get oil is the mains, then big ends, then little ends, then top of the engine. I’d be worried if it kicked in hard during a full load event but I’m assuming it’s all calibrated to...

Re: Your fleet running reports

That sounds like the secondary ride then so bigger wheels won’t affect that really.

You may need to get used to the height of it a bit more as it exaggerated any movement as you’re at the end of the pivot so to speak.

I was rather unimpressed with the number of potholes on the M40 yesterday. Local authority maintained roads I sort of understand the maintenance issues but Highways Agency? That’s just evidence of how badly run the country is currently. Yep. And when the HA became Highways England a few years ago t...

I don’t think people would piss away a whole year, I think it would be good for most people. It’s stupid though as the U.K. has a really well regarded professional military full of people who want to be there. I don’t see how taking time away from the professionals and putting it towards people who ...

I’ve done loads of individually cool stuff but some list items left are. Run to the sun in the 500e or a V12 Aston. Take the wife to Monaco in the 500e, fancy dinner and a floppy hat type of meal. Go back to the Kruger but with the family and stay at a lodge in the wild. Posh banquet with the wife i...

The F1 I think I’d be intimidated by but for some strange reason I feel the 50 road car will be more manageable.

I’ve been out off Singers after the Tuthill video, I’d have one of those in a heartbeat if it ever became affordable.
