Re: Decent Recent TV

Have we discussed " Last One Laughing "?

We're onto season2 now, but it's very amusing at times. No idea how they (generally) keep a straight face... :?

Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet

You can buy a £10 advance ticket (plus 95p booking fee) which says it gives you a guaranteed parking space and you can use the £10 as credit. I'll book a ticket and a table for up to 8 for 9.00am - how many are coming? I think 8 would be about right.

I'll deffo commit to being there at 9am for ...

I've mentioned it to Sundayjumper in case he's able to make an appearance with one of his fleet too.

I'll try to park with you, but wouldn't be surprised if they single the Ateca out for parking at the front, due to it's best-in-class handling for a mid-range SUV

Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet

I'm always up for an early (well, they open at 9am, so any time from then onwards) start for this kind of thing, at least gives a chance to have a nice clear run out to the meet.

Re: Cycling Thread

Paris Roubaix on Sunday was epic, with it going right down to the line and a massively deserved winner. Worth catching up with some highlgihts if you're interested!

Definitely want to watch some of this. Only seen a few seconds of the cobbles and the last lap in the Velodrome so far.

That ...

Re: Selling Property

Speaking of doing removals, I did it through an agency a handul of times during my uni holidays. Absolutely horrendous work  and learned a few things too.

If any of your stuff gets 'lost' and they blame agency workers they're lying. It usually means the gaffer took the opportunity of having ...

Re: Selling Property

Good luck with it @GG.!

I've not moved for 10 years, it was easy then, and I would love to move to somewhere nicer/bigger, but I'm also so well established in my place the thought of the disruption does fill me with fear

Re: The Movie Thread

Hamnet

Powerful and profound. It's one to strap yourself in for, it's quite heavy emotionally, the acting is phenomenal, and the story is great. It's an excellent film, but you need be in the mood for it.

Re: Cycling Thread

It’s the Paris Roubaix on Sunday, with MVDP going for his fourth win, while Pogi is undoubtedly desperate to bag his first Roubaix win. However the course isn’t in Pogi’s favour, it lacks the climbs which he uses to create gaps and he won’t want to drag MVDP to the finish for a sprint. Should all ...

It's one of the most inward-looking countries I've ever known. Many will simply believe that Trump assassinated the Ayotollah, destroyed key military sites and then got a great deal on oil.

Agree, there's no way this is over. Trump has claimed complete victory  in an interview with Sky News. Apparently his phone number is an open secret in DC and he always answers the phone too, hence news sources will call him for quick comments.

Apparently Rust Bucket Motorsport - the Scandinavian chap who drives old cars very sideways and jumps them - has deleted all his videos due to the wrong sort of attention.

Re: It's Highway Robbery, innit

Thought some of you might find this intersting, an article in The Grocer about how forecourts set prices. Worth noting that while The Grocer is a great publication, they do have a tendency to defend business interests on the whole. E.g. saying that forecourts reduce their margins during price rises ...
