Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal

I think it's likely an exercise in introducing new buyers to the brand. I'm sure I read somewhere that 90% of RR Spectre owners were new customers that never previously would consider a RR.

They probably know that short term it's a loss making exercise, but long term in getting more people into ...

Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet

Was lovely to finally (after 17yrs on the forum!) meet most of you. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and what a turn out of cars.

Most impressive for me was how well JonMad could peddle his Suzuki Swift!

Also very envious of Duncs Elise. Pictures don’t do it justice.

Thanks for making me feel very ...

That would still have been cool. Remember it's a 5 star rated Autocar sportscar! 8-)

Re: EV's with stoopid big bhp numbers

I got to have a go in an Ionic 5n on a PalmerSport event last Friday. They have a fleet of them for clients to use as warm up laps to learn the track.

The Instructors seem to really enjoy using them and I can see why, bloody good fun. Okay not as fun as the F3000 cars, but I doubt much else would ...

Re: The lawn mower thread

I bought an Ego Electric Lawnmower 4 years ago (can't remember if it was a 47 or 52 - link below)

Our garden is about 40ft by 100ft and it's able to cut on one charge. I used to have petrol before it and kept forgetting to take the jerry can with me, so more convenient just to charge it.

Folds ...

Re: M5 test drive report and new car thread

~20 miles to work this morning, battery only half full because I don't have a second EV charger at home yet and the granny lead I bought isn't long enough to reach any suitable socket (doh). At least the granny lead works for charging at the office.

93.5mpg with the EV bits averaging 2.4mi/kWh ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Tesla went back with 3 scuffed alloys, only one key card as lost the other, no air filter service, front tyres on the edge of legal, broken front parking sensor and a service warning light on. Oh and I didn't clean it either. I thought I'm not going to any effort only for them to charge me anyway ...

Re: EV Thread

I do quite like it, but was expecting this to be a little more out there looks wise.

Not quite as efficient as I thought it would be. 108kwh and 559 miles of range (5.17) compared to Tesla M3 at 75kwh and 466 miles range (6.21).

Probably down to the weight difference (2300kg vs 1840kg).

I think the reason is it's 1080kg is no sound deadening whatsoever. As Mik said, a long road trip would lose its appeal fairly quickly unless you put earplugs in. T33 appeals more.

I like that a lot. Very cool and different.

Although I think they've failed. They mention that the watch's namesake can be found as deep as 6000 metres, yet they've only designed it to withstand pressure down to 600 metres. So you can't go deep sea fishing for sea urchins wearing the watch named ...

This week I'm mostly liking the Ming 37.09 Uni. I like that it's not another traditional divers watch, it's definitely its own thing. Clever use of Sapphire to give a floating effect and cool loom.

You forgot sandwiches! When my wife needed an endoscopy, Nuffield offered me a nice sandwich whilst I waited in her room. Well worth the £400 per month for our family health plan.

Ohhh and the teapots. When I had my hernia done, it was a private hospital via the NHS, and when I woke up ...

The private sector is the exact same except the pillow is softer and the waiting room has a pot plant so your perception of quality for essentially the same care is higher.
