We spotted Jarvis Cocker In Morrisons once. Lives nearby apparently and was very tall, wore a sheepskin jacket and drove a P38 Range Rover.
Nobody else of note.
Unfortunately there's Edwina Curry in the next village and I saw her daughter on Sunday when walking the dog.

Re: Can you get….
So far, Jobbo is the most sensible - just change the handle to a knob. Aside from the obvious peni5 joke, changing the door handle from a lever to a turned knob didn't make any difference in our house - our black lab just wraps his mouth round the doorknob and turns his head. Hey presto! door open....
Re: HM ERII
I think everyone, monarchist or no, will be very sad to see someone who has been a symbol of permanence move on. has always remained dignified, even when her own family members have been arseholes. She's like a global Grandma figure. Definitely. There is an interview with Danny Boyle on Graham Nort...

Re: Where would you live?
As long as I dont have to work then it'd be 6 months in a big hoose in Arnamurchan; then the balance would be travelling between the current place (High Peak) and somewhere sunny. That's all i want.

Re: Drugs, (and absurd job updates)
Looks stunning! Congrats on the new job/lifestyle too. Islay is a place I'd never really thought about visiting as we generally either go straight past on the way to Ardnamurchan or further north. Must add it to the detour list now.

Re: Most Notable Person Website
TT and bike racer John Hartle has a blue plaque on a pub near me. Arthur Lowe ( Dad's Army ) was from the village near us too. Never knew Noel & Liam Gallagher were born in separate parts of Manchester either. Also noted Albert Finney (my 2nd Cousin / my late mums cousin) born in what I presume ...

@dinny_g As a ex-teacher my wife's FB is fully locked down (as is mine) so only people on our immediate friends list would have seen the post. You need to do a Colleen Rooney now, become Dogitha Christie and out them.. That's part of the problem I guess. I want to know who it was but I don't. If I ...

Thanks for the replies folks, it all helps. Manager seems ok with it all. He's dealt with posties previously with the same foot problem and knew about estimated recovery spans etc ( 6 - 18 months :o ) As for sorting the gossip out straight away Beany from what he said it was sorted as soon as it was...

Re: Coronavirus
Cheers for the replies folks, I'm glad to be over it. Hopefully the heart issue is nothing serious as I'm now stranded in front of the TV with plantar fasciitis ( basically foots buggered after 25 k steps a day for 16 years !) Ah well, never rains ............. Just a little update ( Idon't think i...

Re: New new new new Top Gear
Decent enough episode but all a bit rushed. Like they crammed 4 ideas postponed from earlier in the series into the last episode. Can’t believe the hammered a £200k + car in trials Looking at Harris in the WRC Car in the snow, he really is an awesome driver by any measure M feature deserved more ti...
Re: Glasto
It is a brilliant way of finding new stuff to listen to, the variety is all part of it. Now whether some old acts should be wheeled out past their sell by date though..... Hope Supergrass is on the iplayer! Just found Jesus & Mary Chain were on ... that's next, and if they play "April Skies...
Re: Glasto
Just catching up of this today. Managed to record a fair bit that was shown but also watching the stuff that failed to record. Loved Sam Fender & thought (local to me) Blossoms were okish. Diana Ross was shite and no idea why she was there. I like a few of Yungbluds songs but switched him off af...

Re: The House Projects Thread
Just out of interest... This is not going to turn into another project house  but The rear 2 bedrooms are Dormers and each measure approx 3.5M X 2.5M. There may well talk of widening the rooms to the max possible width to approx 4.5M X 2.5M whilst keeping the Dormers. The Vendor reckons it's ab...

Re: The House Projects Thread
That sounds painful. And, definitely, fingers crossed. Cheers. Went round with the "kids" last night to show them their new home. We spoke with the vendors about moving ASAP and we're all in agreement to get shifting. They've put a deposit down on a new build and are ordering fittings etc...
