Re: The Weather Thread.

That's an amazing picture mik . We have family up here and my wife qualified as a nurse during covid after losing a friend, but moving back also means she's around for them as they are getting older. There's also a small croft that nobody else in her family would be interested in taking over, so the...

Re: Lego

You’re not honestly going to spend £140 on mini figures for one model? i kind of get buying expensive kits to build, but spending £140 to put 35 mini figures together and put them in some seats you’ll probably never look at again seems mental to me! Of course not. You'd have to be crazy to even con...

Re: Exploding Pagers

Its absolutely something that if you'd seen it in a tv or movie you'd have said "that could never be done".

It does make you wonder about the security of all these massive supply chains from a privacy and terrorism/war point of view.

Re: The Weather Thread.

Still kind of feels like we're on holiday. If I keep looking out that way I can't see the bomb site of the house.

Feels like summer has finally arrived though today.

Looks like a great day out and incredibly good value. Those Emiras look stunning. How are the used values holding up now?

Re: The Weather Thread.

It was a cloudy bastard up here last night so we didn't see anything which is a shame because taking photos of the moon with my phone whilst wandering about the garden in my slippers like a crazy man has become a bit of a habit over the last few weeks. http://nullcopy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/...

Re: Lego

I've found someone in Germany who has 570 of the Snowtroopers available at about £4 each. So I just need to work out how many I need :D

Half our stuff is in a shipping container but I found the Jaws set this morning at the house so I'll be making that first I think.

Re: Lego

It's almost time to start making the UCS AT-AT which has been gathering dust for 9 months or so. Only thing is, my OCD is struggling to have learned there's 40 seats inside it and they only give you 5 mini figures. Can I avoid trying to collect snowtroopers to fill the damn thing? There are a coupl...

Re: Harry’s Garage

I saw a YouTube short of a 720. It had just come from the dealer brand new still to a detailer to be prepped. One door was so badly aligned it touched the front wing when open. Also had loose bolts in the engine bay. Popped to a local car meet yesterday and saw a TVR Tuscan for the first time in yo...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Don't get me started on pronouns after the last week with one of my clients... Snatch references and generally calling my wife out for being a pikey are very much a weekly occurrence. V8Granite - I'll do an update and a house update soon as it has been a big change, albeit one we're glad we di...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Those four in the back aren't horses... Well spotted. Jobbo - Exactly, makes so many things so much easier. Mito Man - That's exactly what we're considering next year, but need to wait and see how the land goes after having horses and sheep on them for 6 months or so. For some reason or anoth...

Re: Your fleet running reports

New addition to to the fleet... A 2022 Polaris gator atv thing for doing stuff on the croft, up here and for collecting horse 💩. That last one is a real time saver as was a case of wandering round the field with a wheelbarrow. Road legal so useful for pottering around the village, also its size make...

Re: Harry’s Garage

I think the Touring’s front bumper is black plastic, but don’t know if you could spec it colour coded. I didn’t realise they only made 650 Tourings, such a shame as at £135k it seems a bit of a steal! Guess you’ve seen the ruby GTS? You can spec a brand new .2 GTS for £150k, so I’m unsure why .1s a...

Re: Harry’s Garage

Porsche’s website is a bit of a mess currently with very few 911 options when you try to configure one. It's annoying - they've removed most of the 992 variants because the 992.2 has been launched, but the Dakar was still up until fairly recently despite being sold out ages ago. I thought it was ju...

Re: Your fleet running reports

@Ascender did you do a new car thread with some proper photos? No, not yet, been offline for almost a month while doing stuff at the new house. I'll stick one up shortly though, have a wee bit more time on my hands now and have had some absolutely wonderful drives in it up here, up north. Proper no...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Hope the rest of the move goes well Mike. I can tell you that a Macan will transport more than just two cats; 5 cats, 2 dachshunds and a tortoise plus driver and passenger in ours 😄 Not sure why my wife gets low 20s mpg though; I really should have gone for an S. Really envious of the 911. I am thi...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Very nice 8-) And Targa as well....would 100% be my choice, love the look of those. So much more involving/rewarding than the M3? Suprised to hear that...appreciate they're very different cars, but still. Based on first impressions on that drive, worth factoring-in the "new shiny toy" ele...
