Re: The House Projects Thread

Very pissed off this morning. Been informed that a judge (HHJ Luba) on one of his last days before retirement has kicked our case into the multi-track which is usually reserved for large and complex cases, rather than simple cases such as ours. Our assumption is that the judge has looked at the lar...

Re: The House Projects Thread

There are some amazing houses over there. This prompted me to dig out a listing from a few years ago of my Uncle & Aunt's old place in SC: https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/54-Ridge-Rd_Lyman_SC_29365_M64729-38492?ex=SC589228942#photo0 My Aunt never forgave him for them having to...

Re: The House Projects Thread

Home Alone house for sale. Lots of (Mercuns?) complaining on twitter that they’ve not kept the interior as it was for the film (although apparently most of it was filmed on a set, it was modelled on the actual house interior). Do they....do they think the film distributors own every house they film...

At least it's just one hard press of the throttle to turn off the system for the whole journey from what the EVO story says. Not yet another option in yet another sub menu... Some BMWs have already had this sent via software update depending on their build date in the 23-24 cycle. You can disable i...

Re: Today’s want

The design goes back to the 2006 X5 and then some cunt thought, ah let’s just turn it all into a touch screen Some things shouldn’t be messed about with. I'm going to get pelters for this and I was as skeptical as anyone given I work in technology, but the current iteration of this on drive with th...

Good choice! Makes perfect sense based on what you've said.

When do you think you'll get it?

Presume if there’s no address with the council either then no council tax 😂
That has crossed my mind today....

Re: The House Projects Thread

It's madness, but as I've found, this whole thing is just a succession of people lining up to take their cut. Its the council I need to pay in this instance although my email from Royal Mail mentioned an admin fee :) Helpfully the Royal Mail reply was one of those where there's no way to actually en...

Same... just common sense right? And make sure its above clothing/blanket so I don't get bothered and the cabin crew can see its on. Simples.

Yeah, he was very entertaining and is clearly having an absolute blast in everything he does just now.

We watched The Fall Guy last night. It was utter nonsense but charming and entertaining. Just go with it and you'll enjoy it.

Re: The House Projects Thread

Somehow in the 220 years the new house has been standing, the local council has not registered it with the Royal Mail to go on their postcode database.

That'll be £120 please.

Aircraft seats are incredibly cool 8-)

@Beany - that's why I'd like to find someone to do it properly. Honestly, the m3 one is just so supportive for my back, even on a bad day like today.

Same.

Convert a car seat to an office chair?

Did someone here get this done? Or is that just my brain creating its own fake news? I've managed to f*ck my back with another weekend of loft-clearing, but had to pop to a meeting first thing and those seats are so supportive. I had the obvious thought I should see about buying a used one and getti...

First reaction was "accident", but it's incredible to see some of the shit boxes which are still flying in places like that. Add in a bit of bad weather, flying in tricky terrain, its not a big leap to come to the conclusion that it probably was an accident and there's nothing more to see ...

The headline accompanying this is that there's potholes "waist deep". That's a bit of a stretch, (no pun intended), but he's trying his best to sell it.

Pre social media, that would be one of those news stories which everyone would just read, say "yip, fair enough" and move on with their lives.
