How big is your lawn? We've got a leccy one with a cord and it does everything we need. Paid something like £50-75 four years ago. Only had to replace the blade a few times and had my sparky neighbour redo the lead as it was broken.

Unless you really need it, I'd use the homeplug type kit. No drilling, no running wires. They just work and performance is good enough that it doesn't feel like a compromise in normal use.
