Re: For the FAO of stereoists
Jesus, what’s doing their hot water????!!! Average invented cylinder is usually 120-150l in an ordinary house, maybe up to 250 or so in bigger places. At 1100 litres it’ll need a huge amount of hot water input and probably need a circulating heater like a hot tub just to maintain temperature ...

Re: For the FAO of stereoists
I should also add, I'm all for purity of signal, but odd room shapes can really benefit from some EQ correction, which tends to only exist in the home cinema world. In a stereo setting we've had good results using a miniDSP between the source and amplifier.

Re: For the FAO of stereoists
Thanks - it actually isn't saying it dislikes the room ratio - simply that I'm not complying with this rule... "Avoid 50% room length/width (null points). Sweet spot at 38% from front wall:2.85 m"
When this says 2.85m from front wall I presume that means the wall the speakers are on?

Re: For the FAO of stereoists
mode response on long/narrow rooms is a pain.
Moving your speakers closer, with a big gap from the rear wall can make a surprising difference, but two subwoofers correctly positions is probably the answer!
Have a read of the Cedia RP22 book - all the maths is pretty straightforward.

Mito - 17 years
Defender - don’t know, maybe 10.
645 - don’t know but it’s been in the family since 2005.
Don’t really keep track of dates, just know the ages from the plates.

Re: Drug driving
The big one round here is bloons, there’s so many kids sitting around in their friend’s car smashing through canisters of fast gas, then driving off and smashing into something. A friend who’s a brain surgeon is seeing more and more kids walking like they’re paralytic drunks because N2O is ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
That's rotten.
I guess it saves having to sell it when the Abarth arrives! I can't imagine it will be anything other than a write off once the insurance company price up a wing, paint to the bumper and bonnet, headlight bracket, possible wheel and suspension components. Similar cars are £4300 ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Bastard. Is it just the wing which is dented? Wonder how easy it would be to find a wing in the right colour.
It’s pushed the headlight in slightly and just caught the bonnet, paint off the bumper and the wheel has taken a whack. The car was parked parallel with the kerb and the nsf wheel is ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Seen loads of the fiat 600, and one or two abarths, they’re not a bad looking thing. Did you get the bright yellow or purple?
White, as it was the free option and I'll never own it! It'll be interesting to see if a resonably powerful FWD electric car with an LSD is genuinely fun to drive, but ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
I felt like having a hassle free daily for a while, so ordered an Abarth 600e on a favourable lease deal last week. Haven't even seen on in person despite them being out for a year, but I'm sure it will be fine for my needs.

I think the e61 did that too, it retracts halfway as the boot opens and then closes again with the boot. And iirc the dog net was integrated into the cover.
BMW did the integrated net/cover for a while, but it made the cover heave to remove. Volvo built the net into the seat backs for a while ...

M5 update: no charging while on holiday and went a bit more quickly into a headwind all the way home from Inveraray, averaged 28mpg. I've proved to myself that I can live quite happily with the range and tank size anyway, particularly evidence when a few days before departing I pulled into a ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
I've been driving the Berlingo around a bit as our junior engineer left and the new one doesn't have a license.
It was filthy - doubt he'd washed it since January, so I treated it to a wash and some 20 year old autoglym found in my parent's shed.

I'm amused at the left forum not actually being outraged by anything going on. Your economy is being trashed by these lacklustre grifters.
The economy was already given a kick in the balls by Truss and Kwarteng. Under Starmer we’ve had the best economic growth in the G7 this year: https ...
