Re: Any Sparky's in the house

Ok but would there be any major re-wiring etc or would it be limited to work in/around the board/box only??

Cheers Jim - really appreciate the expertise

Depends on your wiring. It’s really common to find houses with this type of board don’t have any earth wiring in the lighting circuits ...

Unfortunately you'll have to bin that whole board and start again.

Re: Any Sparky's in the house

I asked this before when I bought the house but can't find the response.

Our place has a fuse wire set-up, rather than Trip Switches (which I think is odd as the house was only built in 1986 but hey ho) and I'd like to get it changed. So far, touch wood, we haven't had any go but I'd sooner have ...

Given the options do you go for:
1. PSS
2. PS4S but rear star marked and front not
3. PS4S but neither axle star marked

2 or 3.

But I also fitted non n-rated tyres to our 944S2.

@Mito Man Totally that, I'm sure the cost of this work has gone up by at least 20% in the last ~5 years from what people in the neighbourhood have told me. Doing the work sooner, even though I don't need it, could have financial benefits.

It's an opportunity to live/work somewhere else for a ...

The budget is simply based upon the estimates I get. I'm looking for a firm which has a good history of recommendations/references/reviews, has been trading a long time, can give plenty of examples of previous work and who manages to identify any of the potential issues my property will face with ...

Didn’t the Americans have a similar tax situation in terms of using cars for YouTube, then it turned out that their tax advice was incorrect so they had huge tax liabilities and ended up selling a load of stuff?

Many surprising aspects to that episode...

Obviously remarkable that the XJC went for so much but also that it outdid the Espada. As nice as the XJC is, it isn't Espada levels of special in my mind.

Also eye opening that Harry could contemplate dropping 100k into it during the restoration with ...

A good investment for Harry, wonder if he’ll do a breakdown on how much the rebuild and modifications cost. Not usually something you’ll make money on unless you’re the person doing the restoration.

I’m amazed there are two people who think it’s worth that much, I thought 60k sounded pretty ...

I’m not convinced the XJ-C is a good investment. Look at the values of E-types falling.

If you want an XJ-C and have the cash it surely has to be the best available, and it would take two years and £100k to recreate it.

I'm surprised that the Espada didn't make more - they were very cheap and ...

Look for an active subwoofer that also has high-level/spealer level inputs.
Increasingly rare these days as most people are using AVRs with dedicated sub-out, but brands like KEF still offer them on some models and quite a few manufacturers have in the past if your looking at used kit.
Some have a ...

As bad as Islington. I went to park on a regular on-street bay for 1 hour, opened RingGo, added the bay number (61562) which said about £7 an hour, went through to the final screen and it said £14.25. For one hour, because diesel. On a residential street in Islington. FML.
