Re: GVE London
@Jimexpl Not connected to this subject but we were in Crantock last week, the new golf driving range and restaurant came as a bit of a surprise.
Did you go? Friendly front of house staff, a decent chef in the kitchen and great views.
I am not a golfer, but we have spent a bit of time there as ...

Re: GVE London
Looking back it amazes me how easily I could bring a car in on SOR when I was working in the high-end motor trade. In most cases the sellers had never met me before, had no idea who my boss was, whether he owned the building or was borrowing heavily to function; the shiny showroom in a ...

Oof.
Story of someone caught up in the SOR.

"Send this to Yianni and Mark McCann" - yeah, that'll do a lot of good when there's a police investigation which led to armed officers seizing a car
There will be plenty of people who don't ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
I must have been the last Defender owner to get the letter as the recall appears to originally have been issued 10 years ago! I am now rather concerned and need to have a look under the car for any splitting axle welds

Re: Your fleet running reports
Intrigued by the lack of cruise control, I thought it was standard on everything e46 based other than ultra basic ES models and the csl (because sporty steering wheel with only one button )
Does it just need coding or do you need a different steering wheel?
Beeny might correct me, but I think ...

Re: Harry’s Garage
Why the absolute fuck would you do a “collab” with Joe Macari and let him purchase the entire manufacturing run? :?
Yeah, to me it's the slightly smelly side of these beautiful cars, the "never ever ever ever for the plebs, even plebs with lotto money", that and a side helping of envy ...

Joe may well be an excellent engineer but he is quite a wheeler dealer in the car world, but (other than having owned his garage) used to keep a lot of his high profile ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
X5 made it down to Spain without incident. Nearly drove here without any a/c though -
Thought I'd take it to Kwik Fit for a re-gas as it didn't feel quite as good as it could be (it hadn't been done for over two years). Picked it up right at the end of the day when they were closing and by the time ...

Re: Guess the vehicle
Not that it’ll often leave 20mph London, or I’ll generally be the one driving, I’ve already decided to remap it for an extra 33hp.jamcg wrote: Sun Aug 10, 2025 8:27 pm I bet that’s a great deal of fun to hustle around on a back road having a slightly revvier engine
I’ll pick it up from Brigg on 27th and report back.

Petrol Berlingo….
Since all the all London boroughs hiked their prices on diesels in April (£20 per hour on the street in some areas!) it’s been annoying me when we need the bigger Renault in town, so this will be the central London shed/delivery vehicle, left at mine. Wanted three ...

Re: Dan’s car
I have a landline in the workshop too but if you actually want to get hold of me you need to ring my mobile.
I'm sitting in Spain at the moment and our virtual landline rings me here and my business partner's mobile in London at the same time. It also makes it far easier to decide whether you ...
Re: Dan’s car
I wouldn’t buy an Analogue Automotive one. I would buy one of Dan’s - probably not the 500 to be fair because it’s wasted on me. But any of Dan’s from a straight Honda conversion upwards. Duncs has it right.
With things like the Alfaholics restomods, I think they tend to quote the basic price ...

Having had 3 cars that leaked water - most recently being the Giulia, I feel your pain. It was minor on the Giulia, but it used to absolutely *piss* water into my Bora.

Re: The ebay thread
That looks like a purchase “not without some risk” 😄
To be honest, whilst I love the LC I can’t inagine there is much it does that a 15-year younger VXR8 wouldn’t do better - for a fraction of the price. You could probably even drive it 😎
They must go to the same type of buyer that pays crazy ...

Driving to a site this morning I noticed that they have a shop front covered up at 55 Knightsbridge - presumably the launch showroom?
