Slight OT aside, but I love doing this in the 330 when I'm out of town. Go from 5mph to about 60 in one pleasingly quick shot.integrale_evo wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 5:45 pm It can still be caught out in the normal modes if you roll into a junction at a crawl in second and need to make a reasonable getaway you have to give it a proper prod of the pedal.

The 911 will happily pull from 15mph in 3rd to about 115mph. It’s hilarious. Maybe we should make this the new 60-100 test?Beany wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 7:58 pmSlight OT aside, but I love doing this in the 330 when I'm out of town. One gear 60-100 sounds fun. A new forum sub category.
Re: Car Hire Lottery
Puma would do similar, albeit slower, but cleanly up to about 90mph. A good torque spread (even if you don't have a huge amount of torque) is a great thing to have!McSwede wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 8:55 pmNotoriousREV wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 8:14 pmThe 911 will happily pull from 15mph in 3rd to about 115mph. Re: Car Hire Lottery
mine was one gear, 2nd tops out at 70 and 3rd at 105, so I did the whole thing in 3rd.
Re: Car Hire Lottery
'Vora is approx 72 in 2nd and 102 in 3rd, so.... I did the same.

3rd gear only suited my e36 perfectly too
Maybe 30-100 in one gear would be a better indicator of flexibility

Stop it, all of you. The new test is 1000rpm in 3rd gear, floor it and rev to limiter. Timed plus min/max speeds.

Eventually we'll all die. Should you stipulate that the disqualification only applies if death occurs as part of the attempt at the test? Or will eventual unrelated death disqualify participants under any circumstances?NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 8:37 amIf you die or lift you’re disqualified.mik wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 8:20 amSome people are going to need a lot of road to do this....NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2019 8:09 am Stop it, all of you.
