That is utter shite. Age does not = wisdom. It does not take a genius to see that unfettered capitalism is buggering up the ecosystem, how it gets fixed who knows but it is not going to be by Nescafe N'espresso banging on about how some pods were made into a bloody bicycle.

Companies have to be persuaded (massively taxed) to stop anything that is unsustainable. If that means we cannot all have a new phone every 2 years or a new TV every few years then we will probably just have to suck it up!

The fact so much of the goods in a supermarket have the "not currently recycled" mark is ridiculous, doubly so when you consider there are no financial penalties to the manufacturer (afaik?) but that our councils have to pay the landfill charge. It is a shame that hitting people's pockets seems to be the only way to gain people's attention though and even more of a shame that a 16 year old lass is on the end of a coordinated attack by climate change deniers is sickening to be honest.

TL:DR

Some young folks are weel informed, some rick old people are fucking stupid (or lying to further their own bank balances)
